We stayed 2 nights at this wonderful pub to celebrate a Birthday. On arrival we were told our room was ready despite us being early. We stayed in the Teal room which was stunning and very comfortable. Home baked treats were left on the bed and the room was well equipped with everything we needed. Over the 2 days we ate and drank in the pub and the food was delicious. All the staff we came across were friendly and took time to chat to us and tell us about the pub and village /walking guides. The pub’s decor was lovely and has 2 log burning fires that were lit which made you want to sink into a chair and enjoy the surroundings. Would highly recommend and will return.

Brilliant winter stay

We stayed in the peacock suite for one night with our 7 year old and our dog, there were fresh baked brownies in the room when we arrived and dog treats which was a nice touch. The bed was probably the most comfortable that I’ve EVER slept in and the bedding felt new and very high quality. The sofa pulls out into a double bed and also very comfortable. The rooms were immaculate and the shower was very good pressure. We also ate in the pub, it was pie night when we stayed much to our delight and we all enjoyed our Pies- breakfast was also very good with a good selection of options. The team were very friendly and accommodating during our stay too- would definitely stay again!

This is the third time we’ve stayed at the Pickled Pheasant and it never fails to impress. The bedrooms are immaculate, the food is beautiful and the service is second to none. The professionalism of Nick and the rest of the staff create a thoroughly relaxing atmosphere. We’ll soon be back!!

What a fabulous find. We booked The Pickled Pheasant for a family break to celebrate my husbands 60th Birthday and we weren’t disappointed. We booked 3 rooms The Grouse, The Mallard & The Peacock suite all equally luxurious, spotlessly clean and beautifully furnished. During the day we enjoyed a walk “Holmfirth Circular” & returned for a wonderful evening meal in the restaurant. The food was delicious, service & staff excellent and a great atmosphere. We enjoyed breaskfast the next morning before reluctantly checking out! We highly recommend the Pickled Pheasant and can’t wait to book another stay. Thank you to Nicholas and all the staff for making our stay so enjoyable.

Friendly service, wonderful food, lovely cosy vibe

We were really well looked after by Lex and Dylan. Food was wholesome and really tasty. Lovely warm and welcome atmosphere with cosy, open fire. Extremely dog friendly which is an added bonus. Great selection of food and beers. Can't wait to return xxx
