This is an annex of another hotel nearby

Good location 2 minutes walk from the 'centre' of tiny Hornbaek, but it's a little bit surprising to find the whole place is an annex of another hotel also 2 minutes walk away so facilities on site other than the room, which was quite dated. The breakfast in the other hotel is good though and the staff friendly.

Close to the beach but..

The hotel is situated very close to the beach, that is very good. But the double room was very small, we only had two small carry on luggage. If we had bigger luggage there would have been a problem finding room for them The double bed was against a wall, so I had to climb over my partner when getting in and out of bed. The second day at breakfast (we stayed two nights) a lot of things were missing and had not been refilled on the plates. The hotel is much too pricey in comparison of what you get, but you pay for the closeness to the beach too....

Old hotel, to be avoided

We made a roadtrip in Denmark and thought this to be a nice hotel, if you look at the pictures, it should be. Upon arrival it was completely different.... The garden needs a lot of attention, the staff isn't happy nor friendly (a cigarette is more important than a customer arriving). The rooms are old, poor hygiene, the bathroom has a very bad smell. There was a lot of noise in the area, and as the hotel has no airco, you need to leave the windows open. Look elsewhere, you'll get more value for money!

On our family trip through Denmark, we hoped this would be the best place for us adults. Much thanks to the attracting web site and beautiful pictures. How wrong could we be! Nothing like we hoped the 2 star (as it said on the hotel door but not the website) is a run down place that could do with a bit of paint. The rooms in the annex are tiny and claustrophobic with a terrible bathroom that looks like something out of a hospital. The night we stayed there were some party at the port of the town. They started playing loud (and horrible) music from noon until 3:30 in the night. Followed by two hours of drunks screaming. No escape in the hotel as the windows where poor and there is no AC so they had to be open anyway. The only good thing about this place is the location close to the beach (note, not at the beach - there is no view). But at 1500 DKK this is a scam, and there are much better places to stay. Stay away!

Very disappointing

Only booked this as Time Out Copenhagen recommended it and the website looked promising. Well what a disappointment. Tiny soul-less rooms. Not a proper bathroom but a wet room which I don't understand. Uncomfortable bed. Thion walls. Wifi free but unreliable. All for about £120! Simply not worth it. Will not be returning.
