Lugar moderno e bem localizado!

Ambiente muito jovem, moderno, limpo organizado, no centro de Houston, próximo a um shopping de frente a vários restaurantes. Ao chegar parece uma balada! O Estacionamento e o café da manhã é cobrado a parte, o quarto e muito bonito, a vista do quarto é TOP.

Houston we have a problem (but nice staff)

Hotel staff was awesome, in particular Chelsea and Chandler. Jeremy was awesome as well. I had my hands full of stuff at the front desk and Chelsea ran to the elevator just to open it for me. The only negative aspect of this hotel is the water is not hot enough. We were staying there for the Houston Marathon and did not have a chance to take a hot shower. More like lukewarm. And the hotel’s solution was “let it run for 30-45 minutes”.

Unique Boutique Hotel - feels more like an Autograph Collection than an Aloft

Very unique place. Staff is courteous and accommodating. The rooftop swimming pool and bar is a nice touch. The Valet is billed separately which is kind of weird since they are servicing the hotel, but the folks running the valet were very kind as well. Shout out to @jordan hunter for helping me to my car to get a few things I needed out of it. It was up on the 11th floor of the parking garage, so glad to have the help 😁

Not a hotel for business travellers

Not appropriate for business travellers. Room not cleaned and towels not replaced except on request. Only learned this at 6pm by which time staff had left. When I called down to inquire I was told that the hotel would follow up. They didn’t. I asked again and she he house cleaning staff had left.

Great front desk staff, management and valet not so much

We spent 3 days/2 nights at this property and despite having had several positive interactions with staff, what happened upon our check out, and subsequent follow up (or lack there off from the staff) really soured our experience. First off, the room décor didn't match what was featured on Marriotts website. Rooms we saw were darker vs the white color scheme. Additionally, most if not all double bed rooms have a wall for a view. The wall is a few feet from the window thus minimal light and well, no view, unless you're into concrete block walls. We did request a room change to one with a king bed (for 2 adults and 2 kids), and having a real view was a major improvement. The staff was quite accommodating with this and quickly made the change, which was appreciated it. The rest of the stay was fairly uneventful. One of my children did happen to get sick due to food poisonings in a public area within the property, and upon notifying the front desk and offering to clean up, they said they would handle it, which was much appreciated it. At check out is when things went south. We had used the valet service and upon retrieving our vehicle, there was a incredibly strong smell of weed as if someone had been smoking inside the vehicle or just before entering our vehicle. We called the property, informed their management and were told that the valet service is by an outside vendor. The valet service did call us, apologize, and offered to refund our valet charges. The hotels management did follow up once and offered extra Bon Voy points for the trouble, and they would be following up with us. After those initial calls, both Aloft management and the valet company have been unresponsive. Despite several calls and texts, plus emails, they have ignored our follow up to ensure the refund they promised was finalized. As of this writing, a week after checking out, we have yet to receive what was offered, and our vehicle still has a strong scent which we are having professionally removed.
