menu needs an upgrade

Room is clean and to the ihg standard. the restaurant/bar is definitly not. poor choice of wine/beer. the menu at night is 5 items..... yes... 5 items.... burger... wings... salad, quesadilla and something else i forgot. staff is very nice .

Impeccable Customer Service

Having owned businesses that were customer service oriented, I feel great customer service should be recognized whenever I receive it. And that's whatbi got when I checked into this holiday inn. I felt like I was treated like I was the guest of honor during my stay here. The whole staff was great. But mainly there was one employee that stood out above all, Melissa. She gave me probably the fastest check in id ever received from this chain, remembered my name and used it ever time she saw me, and well there's more but not to be long-winded she was awesome. And really is a difference maker for this chain. Hell I thought about offering her a job with me but I don't steal employees. Lol. Thanks for making my time in Houston outstanding Melissa!!!!

Fantastic weekend

Had a bad experience with a different hotel, and called late to see if they had a room. They gladly got us a clean, bright, cheery , fresh room. Kennedy was wonderful!! The breakfast was good, swimming pool was nice, staff was wonderful. This is a great hotel. Easy access for the baseball tournament!!

I've been staying pretty steadily at this site for the last 18 months. Consistently getting great service from the front desk team. They are super friendly and helpful. Always trying to make my stay better. Rooms are in great shape. Modern. Clean. Fitness center is back open ....thank you !! So is the dinning area...it's open again too. Dee Dee is doing a great job running it. Thank you !!

Nice but a few errors which shouldn’t have happened

Lovely bright spacious hotel Staff friendly and welcoming but no one to attend to your luggage Room large, smelt newly painted, bed comfortable, bath and bodyworks amenities, hairdryer, iron, fridge, coffee machine, microwave. Lots of eateries and Walmart, best-buy Target very near by. Lots of free parking but driving in Houston is mental! Air con broke the first night, ( no maintenance person available) moved swiftly to another room which was good especially as our room had been missed and not made up. The next room had a toilet that clunked every time it was in use. On checking out it came to light that my booking was wrong and that they had me arriving a day later and checking out a day later plus the price was different to what I was quoted online. Was informed this was because not all of the tax had been added. Then the incorrect points were added to my IHG account. Whether you’re staying at the Ritz or Holiday Inn there is no room for errors with bookings. I would stay again but this wouldn’t be the first hotel on my list now which is a shame.
