To my fellow travelers, I was visiting the island due to my grandmother passing away. I made two separate reservations and was given one rate and when it was time to check out it was double of what I was quoted. When checking out I asked to speak with a Supervisor (short blonde hair with dark roots) was the supervisor on duty and she was not helpful when I was explaining the situation. She informed me that she would be speaking with higher management and would call me back so we could resolve the issue. As I arrive to the airport I receive an alert that the hotel already charged my credit card and I never received a call from her like she had committed to do. I called several times and no one answered. After about 30 mins of non-stop calling the Supervisor answered the phone and stated that she did not have to talk to me and that she was going to charge me the correct room rate and was not going to argue with me and hung up the phone. From the beginning I had called the hotel several times to let them know that I never received the hotel confirmation. Once I arrived I spoke to Carlos at the front desk and asked him to confirm the price which he did. He told me that I was getting a great deal due to Covid and things being slow on the island. When I called customer service and reported what happen they informed me that the hotel had my email information incorrect in the system that's why I never received the confirmation. It's been one issue after another with the hotel and customer service supervisor's. I provide them with all the information they asked for and they say there is nothing that they can do. I am one that appreciates good customer service and trying to resolve any problems. We all know that the island has been suffering from the hurricanes and covid-19 but treating human beings like this is not okay from a human perspective. **On a side note they never came in to take out trash while we stayed there and we had to ask for toilet paper at the front desk since the room only had one roll. We had to ask for fresh towels** I will not ever stay here ever again. Please be aware before booking!!!
This hotel was renovated, has an All-inclusive offer, very good in comparison with other hotels in PR. To go around Palmas del Mar is better to rent a golf cart; excellent golf field, pool, and good service.
This is a hotel with an excellent location and facilities but poorly managed. Restaurants and pool bar when they were opened they were always understaffed with no inventory . The front desk was slow and they had only one employee . The lobby bar was close most of the time and the pool bar was extremely slow, with limited menu.
do not book, not as advertised
nothing about this hotel is worth the money, stay at an air bnb in the Palmas community instead. All the restaurants were closed or had inconvenient hours the food is subpar the room had no hot water and was simple and dirty. the front desk woman was very nice. even the cafe couldn't figure out how to make a cappuccino and a double espresso ...it was honestly awful other than the community itself. it looks nothing like the pictures, one of the pools they advertise isn't even on the property nor are any of those poolside canopy beds . sad it could be so much more.
Our first time to Puerto Rico was amazing! This resort was in an excellent location. Service was great. We purchased inclusive breakfast and it was well worth the cost. Golf course and scenery were nice and the entire area was clean and enjoyable. We will visit again!
