Wow, just wow! Stayed for 9 days for our son's wedding and rented the Coleridge Suite, Sarah's Room as well as the Garden Wing Suite for the family. Manor and Ann were the warmest hosts without being intrusive at all. Wonderful breakfasts and spectacular gardens to enjoy. Took advantage of photo ops for the wedding as well. Their personal recommendations daily for locations best to visit were much appreciated and made our stay that much more enjoyable! They made our trip so much more that we could have asked for! The Old House is what other BNBs should aspire to be. We will return! John & Marlyn Archambault

Of the various options available, we chose self-catering in rose-covered Stable Cottage for a comfortable base from which we could explore historic Nether Stowey and the nearby Quantocks - or, if preferred, rest with a book in a nook in the lovely one acre garden (plus friendly blackbird). Our genial hosts Manor and Ann were on hand with helpful information, but never intrusively. Many thanks to both!

I am finding it difficult to say anything new about The Old House. The glowing reviews have said it all before and are all perfectly true. It is a delightful spot with a wonderful garden. Our hosts were helpful, friendly and knowledgeable on all aspects of the local area. Again as everyone says the breakfasts really are excellent.

We came across this b&b when walking in the quantocks and were lucky they had a room free. We stayed in Sarah’s bedroom - bright, large and very clean - for one night over the weekend. The hotel itself is homely and inviting. The host very friendly and knowledgable recommending a lovely pub for dinner on the Saturday night. Breakfast was local and yummy definitely would recommend this place to anyone visiting this area. Thank you we’ll come again! X

Such an interesting place with its connections to Coleridge, an enormous and well-furnished room, spotlessly clean, fresh flowers, beautiful large garden, delicious breakfast and friendly host. A wonderful centre for our short walking break.
