Nice hotel 1 mile from Walmart Supercenter along I-64.
My wife and I enjoyed early check in for our 2 night stay using a hotel Pre Pay. A friendly masked receptionist behind glass quickly checked my identity and credit card, then issued our key cards. We took the single elevator up to the 2nd floor to #208. The large carpeted room began with a closet and sink outside the bathroom with tub shower, then a sofa, desk with coffee maker, TV (100+ Direct TV channels), cold refer, micro and a comfortable king bed. We had good WiFi, unobtrusive window AC/heat and a small gym. Covid signs were posted and staff and guests were compliant. The extensive 6 AM breakfast buffet included fruit juices, fruit, cereals, oatmeal, 2 egg & cheese biscuits, yogurt, sweet rolls, fruit cocktail and coffee. Walmart Supercenter is 1 mi northwest with restaurants in between. We had a good stay at this quiet and clean 63 room hotel paying $62 per night.
Get away
Stayed and it was way better then we hoped. It’s close to many food places and attractions. Only 20 min drive from the city and the mall is only about 5 min drive. The movie theater is in walking distance from hotel.
Disappointed
We arrived and were greated by a friendly and professional front desk worker. He was the only employee however, taking care of the hotel. He mentioned the cleaning staff not coming in. That became evident quickly. We walked into 327, the A/C was off, a bed was unmade, no towels and the carpet wasn't vacuumed. There was a layer of dust on the lamp, so obviously not dissenfected for any jerms during Covid. I called the desk and were personally moved to 307 and he brought us towels. It appeared cleaner...until I dissenfected and found no toilet paper, the sink stopper was stuck closed and I had to clean hairs from the shower surfaces, a razor cover and the toilet rim..was NASTY. I am a Club Wyndham owner and this is an embarassment. I cancelled my future Baymont reservation in Shakopee MN and went with another hotel chain.
Cleanliness
Hotel was clean just need to make sure they give customers clean towels. Also have more choices for breakfast food. But overall it was a really good atmosphere, have plenty of restaurants in this area.
Ok for price
Negative thing was an open liter soda bottle in mini fridge and room had food crumbs still on floor in the room upon check in. Other than that it was a decent stay for the price of the room compared to surrounding hotels.
