When my mom and I arrived into the hotel, we were greeted by the hotel manager, who told us our room was ready, my mom and I were impressed with the manager's professional, but friendly manner. We arrived at our room, and was absolutely impressed by the cleanliness of the hotel room, the bathroom was spotless, beds were immaculate, and was over all impressed by the room. The breakfast the following morning was outstanding, and we told the staff that we will be back again next year while visiting Kansas City!

We visited in February. We stayed in a room that was Royals memorabilia. Nice size room. Very quiet. We went to the pool in the evening. Even though it was 20 some degrees out, we were able to swim outside and be under the stars in the warm pool. I was studying for an exam. Needed a break. The bartender was an amazing sweet lady. Fixed a mean amaretto sour.

Very Disappointed

My husband & I stayed at Stoney Creek in Kansas last weekend. We were VERY disappointed. Based on the online reviews we were thinking we were in for a treat! Sadly that was not the case. Upon arrival we were specifically told that from 10-11 pm the pool was open for adults 18 and up only. However, at 10:30 there were still several kids in the pool. (Jumping in and splashing) Parents were there watching them. A hotel employee even came to the pool area to restock the towels and said nothing to them. There was visible built up grim/funk inside of the pool at and above the water line. Yuck! There were large, dark stains all over the carpeting in the hallways, there was dust built up all along the edge of the carpeting in the hallways. When we pulled the sheets back in the bed to get in, there were multiple long hairs in the sheets. More yuck! (Thankfully, we had brought multiple blankets from home with us and we slept between our own blankets.) The toilet in our room ran all night. There were only window blinds and no curtains, so when the sun came up, the sunlight came right into our room, waking us up. We paid right under $200 for the one night stay. The one good thing I can say is that the manager, Kapena Faitau, that I spoke with the morning we checked out was very kind, apologetic and sincerely listened to me. Upon looking up our account online, he verified that I had paid through a third party. He stated that due to all the issues we had, he would contact the third party and have the total cost of the room refunded to our credit card. He said it may take several days to be credited back to our card. I sure hope he did what he said he would and we get our money back. Sadly, I personally would not recommend this hotel and won't be returning.

Great Hotel!

Great hotel in a nice area. Free breakfast with meat, eggs, potatoes, bagels, toast and cereal. The grounds included a beautiful lake view and walking trails. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were clean. The location was just off the interstate, but it was not noisy. The bar and grill had a dart board, corn hole and a large screen TV and was a great area to watch sports. Lots of restaurants and shopping close by the hotel. We went to a concert at Cable Dahmer Arena which was about 10 minutes from the hotel. We would definitely stay there again.

Easy checkin Excellent breakfast included with great view of lake and walking trails. Great food and shopping nearby…. Easy access to interstate but just out of noise range. Bar area has a great large wall screen for sporting events. Kid friendly too
