Not quite as good as expected

Once the remodeling is completed, I'm sure this will be a nice hotel. However, I knocked off one star on my rating because the dining room and lounge/bar were closed as well as the main lobby. The pool was also closed and there is no hot tub. They don't offer a free breakfast and I had to ask to get our room cleaned. We had a room at the end of the hall (101) near the door and at times it was noisy as guests rolled their suitcases over the tile floor near the door. Also, the air conditioner cycled every 5-10 minutes and sounded like a jet engine. I wore ear plugs at night so was able to sleep through it but I can see how this would be a problem. On the plus side, the room was clean and the fitness center was open.

Ask for service

After 3 days I finally asked if they were going to take out the trash. When I checked in the lady did say that they don't come every day but I didn't think they don't come unless you ask. Kinda weird for the price I paid to stay there. Breakfast $10 and up.

A schizophrenic place.

Stayed here as part of a block of rooms for a local conference, so the rate was good. When we made our reservations, we tried to book an extra day...but the normal rate too high for the conditions. Lots of construction, entrance in the back (hard to find). Bed was great, but the room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Good location but Wifi costed extra and breakfast costed extra too. In hindsight, way overpriced. Would not stay here again.

The hotel lobby is being renovated so parking and check in is in the back with very few parking spots so beware. Not a huge issue unless there are no spots and it’s raining. Which happened to us. Rooms were very spacious which is nice. Big walk in bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Little confusing on breakfast if you have a cheap rate no breakfast and it’s $14. No signs posted about the charge. No explanation til you get a bill w fees and taxes $16+. Needs to be explained better so can make a choice. Close to airport but airplane noise was not an issue.

Valerie night shift person is horrible.

The experience was horrible 30min after checking in after driving 5 hours to Dallas Valerie front desk lady was harassing me and yelling for no reason. A guess had complained but I just let her know I just got there but before there was about 10 kids sitting outside of my room in the hallway which I did advise to her and she just wrote her eyes and walked away. Then I got locked out of my room and needed a key she refused and said that she didn’t wanna see my face? I was about to call the authorities me and my boyfriend had to basically beg. But she ended up giving him the key and not me when the room was under my name. Isn’t policy supposed to be you’re supposed to give the key to the person the room is under? I hope she gets fired. No one she cry to get a room key to where they paid to stay.
