Basic but friendly and clean. Helpful receptionist. Rooms basic but clean with fresh paint around the hotel. Decor etc. is dated. Breakfast basic with cheap sausages etc. but reasonably plentiful.

Lets start with the positives, Haley on reception is excellent! The place is also vey clean. That’s where it ends the place is very basic it makes the Travel Inn look like the Ritz! The room and decor are all vey tired and somewhat unwelcoming! At £110/night I expect more. See attached images.

Claim: Fine dining restaurant- Closed, no plan on opening Claim: Cafe- Closed, no plan on opening Claim: Best Breakfast on Island. See picture for what you get, that's if it's there and maybe you might also get it as a warm option. Both mornings there were items missing off of a 'was once hot' buffet TV not working in first room I was put in, no remote in the next. Mattresses in both bedrooms were well past there use by, I effectively lay on the bed base as the mattress had nothing 50/50 on staff. Hayley nice, housekeeper lovely, trying hard against the environment shes working in. As for the the other staff I met, what a waste of time. Rude and didn't give a damn. My final gripe, although I could go on having spent many years running hotels. I informed them I needed knee replacements, so they placed me on the top floor furthest room away. No lifts of course. Do Not Stay Here

Cute visit and stay.

Hotel Aqua was a cute stay for our family with two small kids. Up a flight of stairs, rooms were nothing fancy but beds were comfortable and I could merge the beds together even though they were single. No fridge or bath. Clean washroom with shower. Breakfast buffet met the standards and host was very kind and accommodating for gluten free bread. All in all good for a short stay.

I actually said to the lady on arrival that I was looking forward to my stay at The Aqua having visited the website to check facilities on offer . Room nice, however no lunch service!, no evening meal service! & poor breakfast offer offer left me really disappointed!!. I consider I 'paid a lot' for 'not a lot' (other guests I met were of the same opinion)!!
