central but not quality for the money

Is a central located small hotel with a nice beach club. Service is good and breakfast is good, but rooms are small and noisy and not 100% clean. Pool is not inviting to dip in (green colour and ground is crumbling). Way too expensive for what is provided and you can do better in the island.....

What a difference to our stay in Tulum after being in Holbox for 4 nights. We wished we stayed longer at Punta Caliza. The best thing about Punta Caliza is the staff and the location. It's literally a 3 min walk from the beach and a 10 min walk to the center of the town. No taxi needed at all! There is something about the staff that is magical. They act informal and chill but at the same time they are very attentive and polite! Great long and honest talks with them at the bar or the front desk. At a certain point they almost feel like friends for a short time and I think that is amazing. Cocktails are reasonably priced and the breakfast (changes daily) is really good!! Their beach-club is very close and a suberb spot. We spent a lot of time there! Reasonably priced food and cocktails. Very tasty! Very friendly staff too! BUT: For the rates you pay, I expected a little more from the room... It is waay smaller than it looks on their photos on socials. There is almost no space for luggage... there is no full body mirror (tip: put one on the front door) and the lighting in the bathroom is terrible. The soundproofing is also a thing. We heard every conversation from our neighbours ( at a normal level) throughout the day in our room. If you pay 300$ a night... this should be resolved... Overall me and my boyfriend are happy to be back if rates would be a bit lower or improvement would have been made to the rooms. Thank you staff to help us make our stay worth it!

It is a beautiful space with the dreamiest pool right out your door and the beach only a short wander away. The food is delicious and the staff are very friendly and helpful. A big shout out to Josephine, Irving and Eric and the staff at the Beach Club. Just wonderful.

Amazing Place - Amazing Owners and Staff

Happened into Punta Caliza a few nights before Christmas. Hungry!!! I heard music and laughter but did not realize it was their 5th year celebration from their opening day. The owners welcomed me and I instantly felt like part of the family. Amazing party, music, food and many friendly smiles. I would highly recommend this resort as it is not only architecturally beautiful but the owners and the manager Josephina are beyond charming and accommodating. Yes, if your are Holbox bound, this is a perfect place for you! Ideally located one block from the beach, excellent food and again the service impeccable.... Oh, I should mention they have a beach club not far, serene, great staff, the manager Diego is awesome...Overall all this is a 5 star in my opinion!!!

I have always enjoyed their open air space for quiet dining and drinks with a good book. Views of the beach and water. Always good service and cleanliness. My favorite are the shrimp tacos and mezcalita drinks.
