Not even the right Name
This hotel was advertised as El Fida Suites and the name wasn’t the only misleading thing. The photos of the rooms were nothing like the ones in the hotel. They crammed as many beds as they could into the rooms. In mine the TV didn’t work and the shower head was broken. The views out of the window were of slum buildings and rubbish.
Nice hotel in the hearth of Fatih
We are an Italian family visiting Istanbul for the first time so we didn’t know what to expect from this hotel and the people. The hotel is a nice structure that helps you to live the right spirit of Istanbul, breakfast is various with all typical Turkish products served in high quantity on a beautiful terrace on the roof where is possible to see the see; there is also a wonderful view of the streets of historical quarter of Istanbul. But the most important thing in this place are the people that work in the hotel; these guys are really kind and always available for their clients at every hour of day or night. They also gave us so many advices on what visit in Istanbul even if we didn’t ask them; they love their city and wanted to share this love with the customers. Thank you so much LoorHotel for giving us a better way to visit you City !!

Thanks to the Pakistani guy in the reception. I think his name was Yahya. He was the only one who spoke English. Very kind and service-minded. The other guy from Azerbaijan made a reservation for us to the airport. He told us that it will cost 250,- TL but the day after when the taxi came I saw that he gave the driver 200,- TL. 50 Lira doesn't make me rich or poor, but he could've had told us that he takes 50 Lira for making a call to the taxi. There was no warm water in the water tap and the bathroom was quite dark. The air conditioner smelled and I think it needed to be cleaned.
We reserved another hotel (Granz Liza) which is absolutely awful and too small. So in the very same night we went to the Loor Hotel who were friendly kind and respectful towards us. We were 5 so they give us a room for 4 people and 1 separate. Installation and general situation of the hotel is very good. As for cleaning every morning the service room come and clean so each time the room is perfect. The owner of the Hotel is so friendly wwe really became friends. He stayed with us until 5 am to laugh ! Very very good hotel, we felt like we were home. Reaaaallly good. As for the location, there is a huge road to walk to acces Beyazit and KapAli Carsi. If you don't want to walk, there is a taxi each minute passing by. The receptionnist speaks English.
Terrible experience !
Arrived at hotel with my kids and grandkids late at night booking in process was difficult as the guy didn't speak much English and we had to drag in all our luggage in from the taxi with no help whatsoever from the guy who just looked at us suspiciously and said we had extra people we told him to check which he did.Rooms were tight.No one cleaned the room unless we asked. Hardly anything to eat for breakfast apart from tea/coffee/boiled eggs and water melon no cereal for the children.location not very central. Definitely won't be booking again,terrible start to the holiday.
