It was a pretty strange stay and probably easiest to list the pros and cons. Pros: Location - if you want a real sense of life in Istanbul, away from the tourist areas, then this is great. We did enjoy this aspect. Staff - the staff were friendly, courteous and well-meaning. Air con - our room was beautifully cool. Great air con and a balcony which was nice. Food - the food/room service was very cheap. The French toast was the best we’d ever had! Views - we loved the view from our balcony of many colourful Turkish buildings. Shower - great, powerful shower! Cons: Location - It was very difficult to get taxis to, as the surrounding roads were shut. It’s also in a very hilly/bumpy area so not a pleasant drive. Sleep - The room featured blinds with gaps in between, meaning the room was never dark and got light very quickly. There were also small ceiling windows dotted around that couldn’t be covered and kept the room even brighter. The walls were actually the thinnest I have ever experienced, and it felt like we were in a caravan. The whole floor seemed to shake if someone shut their door, and you could hear everything your neighbours did/said (including showering and more!). Room - our room had extremely low ceilings and therefore the bed also had to be very low to the ground. Certain areas of the room were only accessible by crouching down to reach. I wouldn’t stay here again, through no fault of the staff, just the difficulties in travel and the inevitable sleep deprivation.

Many noises are heard at night and early morning. Guests talking is loud. Doors that slam shut. We couldn't sleep well. The food in the restaurant is good but little variety. The treatment of the staff was correct and friendly..

Het hotel oogt langs buiten mooi, maar de kamers zijn zeker niet schoon. Ook de locatie is slecht. Er is niks te doen in de buurt van het hotel. Er zaten mieren in de kamer en op het bed. Kleding laten wassen via de wasservice van het hotel. Er bleken meerdere kledingstukken kwijt/gestolen door de wasserette. Er werd geen enkele oplossing van het hotel aangeboden. Na thuiskomst nog meerdere malen gemaild met hotel voor compensatie, maar krijg geen enkele reactie. Zeker geen 5 sterren waard. Onvriendelijk personeel wat alleen Turks spreekt en lacht met je klachten en je niet serieus neemt, zelfs de manager niet. Als buitenlander moet je gewoon wachten en worden Turken voorgetrokken. Zelfs al sta je eerder in de rij. Turken worden eerst in of uitgecheckt en daarna word je pas als Nederlander geholpen. Zeer racistisch. Communicatie is zeer moeilijk, slechts 1 of 2 receptionionisten spreken Engels, de rest spreekt enkel Turks. Slechte ervaringen. Zeker niet aan te raden!

3 arkadaş yılbaşı için konaklamıştık. Temizlik açısından çok iyi,personel gayet ilgiliydi, servis fena degil ancak otelin konumu toplu taşıma noktalarına uzak kendi araçınızla ya da taksiyle gidebilirsiniz.fiyat performans açısından fena sayılmaz.

Resepsiyondaki hanımefendi güleryüzlü ve kibardı. Restoran bölümündeki personel ise fena değildi. Otel tasarım olarak yeterli. Deluxe oda aldım fakat normal bir odadan hiç bir farkı yoktu. Hatta emin olamayıp, temizlik görevlisine sordum burası deluxe müdür diye, evet dediler. Sessiz bir oteldi. Rahatsız eden ses, gürültü vs. yoktu. Kahvaltısı gerçekten zayıftı ama aç kalmıyorsunuz. Konumu güzel olmasına karşın bulunduğu sokak biraz sıkıntılı. Hem yokuşta, hem de çok dar bir sokakta bulunuyor. Otopark sorunu var. Hem kapalı otoparkı aşırı küçük, hem de yolda pek park edecek yer yok. Yine de şans verilmesi gereken bir otel.
