Will Return
PROS: — Gorgeous location, stunning grounds —Everett from Sagestone gave a stellar massage —We loved our room (villa king) —The spiritual wellness classes (just amazing, especially Brittany and Diana) — Quiet resorts, only saw adults AREAS OF IMPROVEMENT —Food is just not that great. Also, it was inconvenient that the restaurant/room service wasn’t available all day. — Noise in bedrooms. The walls are pretty thin. — Not super great water pressure in shower TIPS: — Book a villa- you won’t regret it. A tad more privacy, and the fireplace was great. — Don’t get the food package. Drive to St. George for better, cheaper food and maybe only use the restaurant if you are tired/really want to stay in. — Diana White is Red Mountain’s best kept secret. Book a session with her- just do it. Overall we loved our stay and will absolutely be back!!
High price, mid-range luxury
There's no question that the surroundings are spectacular! The resort is situated right at the foot of an incredible red mountain (hence the name!) -- and the suites are well-designed and comfortable (although some heated tiles on the bathroom floor would have been a nice touch!). It's rather over-priced, though... we dropped four hundred bucks for four of us to take a desert walk that we could have taken ourselves if someone had just shown us the path -- and a 20-minute exercise class set me back $35. We ordered room service one night and were quite disappointed with the quality of the food (the chicken was horribly overcooked) for the price. So -- while I will definitely be back to the area for the scenery, I doubt that I would stay here again, given that access to the same facilities could be had elsewhere for a much lower cost.
Property and staff ultra appealing.
While the property was just lovely, I found the staff--over the top wonderful. I had my dear cat of 17 years pass away while visiting Red Mountain and the staff couldn't have been more wonderful. Kara took great care in making sure I was ok; she allowed us to stay on property for a few hours beyond our check-out time so that my husband and I could re-group after receiving the devastating news. She even made sure to send us on our way w/ a thermos of water. (We were too distraught to think clearly. You need water in the desert!) So thank you to the staff and Kara, in particular, for tending to our most basic need--love and support during a time of crisis.
Location, healthy food and activities such a great property
Recommend this property highly. More activities than you have time for. Healthy menu and portion control. Located at the entrance to Snow Canyon. Never thought I would enjoy an aqua exercise class but it was fun and hard. Recommend the ebike ride up into the canyon. Staff was super helpful and overall the best on our trip. If you are considering the Zion narrows hike, make sure you know how busy it is and how much time it takes with shuttles and waits. For us, better use of time to go on other hikes.
