We wrote multiple times to senior management prior to check in but did not receive anything remotely resembling an acknowledgement, much less a reply. It was frustrating. Check in staff seem understaffed, unhappy and certainly not accommodating to our questions and requests. The property is old understandably, but no little touches to make it look more homely and welcoming especially considering these are serviced apartments. We do however appreciate the size of the units and comfort of beds and air conditioning.

Massive service apartments with washing machine etc

Great newly refurbished service apartments. Stayed in Jan 2020 room 1205 I believe. Massive flat with maid entrance, room, shower. Main apartment had large dining/living room, bedroom, drying/extra room and bathroom with tub. Small kitchen with rice cooker and room with washing machine. Complementary breakfast on top floor with indoor and outdoor seating. You can take your breakfast to your room. Waffle/egg station. Two gym rooms one with machines and one with weights, spa and pool. Small shop and function room Hotel is close to Lotte shopping centre with cinema etc. The best thing for me was the washing machine, clothes horse and ironing board I always appreciate when I can run a machine and not fear for how my clothes are handled.

OK, so it was New Year's Eve and we couldn't get into the hotel we wanted. But it was a sister to the Somerset so we figured we'd be OK. Wrong. Again it was NYE so busy on check in. It took a long time. Then there was a good 20 minute wait for a lift. The lifts are a nightmare - on the second day we waited 30 minutes for a lift, gave up and went back to the room, came back later and waited another thirty minutes until I buckled and got in one going up. This then stopped at every floor because everyone had the same idea. It's appalling, a safety hazard and a very negative look to have. Apparently the service lift is also broken down so staff have to use the standard lifts - 20% of the lifts we couldn't get on were being used by staff. Breakfast is very ordinary - boxed due to Covid but geez, can't they make it even slightly palatable? Stale (and tiny) croissants, very ordinary hot (well, not actually hot) meals and cold coffee. It's a debacle. Rooms were OK if a little noisy depending on where you were. Reasonably spacious. Views of the city if not much else. Staff were probably doing their best but they couldn't help turn this place around. Avoid it at all costs unless they fix the elevators and start getting some decent food in the place. And it's very expensive for what turns out to be a very ordinary experience.

i was looking for android charger for my pods. I called first, but someone said they dont have any. When I went down and telling what actually I was looking for, Vincent is very helpful and finding one for me. That's a top notch service 👌🏻👌🏻

Renovation in need, please

Somerset been known and pictures shown, as trusted and luxury place. But unfortunately that's not the case. I think it need a big renovation. Rusted gym equipment, broken equipment, some furniture peeled off and even one got only one leg. It is surprising that they gave us that kind of room.
