Am upscale hotel which is pretty rare in the area. Efficient front desk, nice room, good equipment. Large garden and swimming pool. Ample parking space. Slightly pricey but nothing scandalous. A good option in this village and actually in the whole valley.

I came to this hotel with a friend in the evening after driving down from high in the alps, where we had shared a small (very) and clean room with a sofa bed and another built into a corner . The Villa Morelia experience was like the air that evening - fresh and warm in first days of spring. The owner set up a humorous banter while he smoothly accommodated both us and a group with 6 Ferraris. We were really pleased with not only having two separate rooms - but ones so large and comfortable, and with a beautiful view of the valley and the mountains. We sat at the outdoor bar for an hour with a great hostess, and some of the family of the owner. There was a little rain, but it didn't make it through the trees - just enough to cool the air while we drank some rosé. And the dinner - fantastic - a cut of beef with porcini sauce and small spring vegetables and a very good and fairly priced Chatauneuf de Pape. As you can likely tell, this was a very good experience. I will bring my wife next time - really a short drive from Cassis that we will both enjoy.

Very very bad service

For the first time I want to write a review about a place without going there at all. This is about the “service” in the communication before even going there. I didn’t go there, and I never will. I found a stay - Charm and flavors trip - including one night in a deluxe double room with Mountain View, a 3 course discovery dinner for 2 adults, American breakfast for 2 adults and late check out only before 2pm. In the English version it said the price was 249€. That’s that. I wrote an email and asked for a confirmation, that the price was OK and asked for availability from the 5th to the 6th of September. I got the confirmation, and they asked me to give my CB number to make a reservation. I wrote another email and asked to make the reservation, and again I specifically mentioned the price (it still was the specific price at the English version of their website). But suddenly the price was 70€ higher she told me, because it was a weekend. And she even claimed, that I had only asked for the availability not for the price (well it was very clear, that I also asked for the confirmation of the price - she could e.g. look at the first email). The website didn’t show different prices for weekends and weekdays, it didn’t say the price was “from” 249€, so in my opinion this is cheating and false marketing, which I think is not legal. And she tried to cheat me to give my CB information. So my advice is to find nice and friendly places for your stay - don’t choose the fake and snobbish ones. We found the most beautiful place instead and had a superb weekend with lovely food and wine, a wonderful breakfast, everything homemade, a beautiful room with a breathtaking view and a top professional service. I sawed a screen dump of the offer at their English website (the price is higher now, but still nothing about different prices)

What a great hotel!

This was truly a pleasant hotel experience. The room (304) was classy, spacious, with a nice view to the mountains. The bathroom was 5-star. Quiet. A good night's sleep. Minibar, bathrobe and slippers. I had a three course dinner in a classy dining room. €49 for the meal wasn't bad, but €11 for a glass of white wine was a bit expensive - especially when I had three of them :-) But the food was great. Professional service. French menu which they translated for me. The hotel has a nice garden, with sitting groups and bar + a heated pool. They offer charging for electric cars (also two Tesla chargers). Spectacular views to the Alps. Free parking. Morelia isn't cheap, but I think their overall standard justified the price. I would definitely book again if I come back to Jausiers.

My husband and i arrived to Villa Morelia by bike and were warmly welcomed. We had a spacious room in the chateau w/ mountain views. A quick refreshing swim in the pool, followed by a much needed beer in the back garden made us feel whole again. Our meal on the terrace was exceptional ... think Michelin star quality ,,, with a backdrop of magnificent mountains to only further enhance the experience. Breakfast was a vast buffet of delicious home baked tarts, fresh fruit, local cheeses .... We would highly recommend a stay at the Villa Morelia!
