First and the Last Hotel Stay Here

Avaliou em 4 de agosto de 2019

The only plus point is the room price. But even that shouldn't be enough to entice anyone to stay here, really. So, no elevators. If you're the type who tend to go in and out of the hotel in a day (for example: out for lunch, then back to hotel room, then out for shopping, then back again), God bless you and your legs. The aircon in our room had a life of its own - pausing suddenly before working again after a few minutes (and no, it wasn't the timer setting either). It's a little inconvenient when you're in a room with no windows, so after a while it felt like there wasn't much ventilation especially when the aircon pauses. The receptionist actually offered to take a look at our remote control but we said it was fine (actually we were on our way out and nobody had the energy to walk back up those flights of stairs to retrieve the remote, but it was kind of the receptionist to offer assistance!). We stayed for 2 nights and throughout both nights, there was this deafening pipe noise which came up from nowhere. Deafening enough to wake you up from your sleep at 2am and it went on continuously for 15 to 20 mins. Pretty sure the people in the adjacent rooms could hear it too. Our stay definitely took a nosedive when the water supply was completely CUT OFF at 5am on our final day. It was crazy, no water for the shower, the sink..we couldn't even flush! We called the receptionist (using our phone, cause there wasn't any in-room telephone) and he said he would get back to us. Didn't tell us how he was gonna get back, but whatever. So we went to the nearby 7-11 to get some bottled water and when we went back to the hotel, the receptionist (wasn't the same one who offered us aircon remote assistance) got annoyed at us for not telling him that we had left the room. (Apparently you get cussed at when you try to get water yourself instead of waiting uselessly for the hotel, idk). So long story short, water supply got cut in all the rooms and they couldn't do anything about it, no apologies/explanation and all, so we checked ourselves out like 2 hours later. Feels like we paid the minimum price for a hotel to not have one of our basic needs met.. It is cheap, though.

Clean & Tidy

Stay there for 1 night during the weekend. Got myself a room on the third floor. If you happen to carry large, heavy luggage bag, I bet that would be a nightmare for you to stay at the third floor since they don't have elevator at the hotel. My room was nice and decent room. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Disappointed!

One thing you should never do, even if you are a seasoned traveller, is to trust what you see on the web. This is one such place - what you see is not what you get. Located far behind the AEON complex, it's not a convenience at all. The reception does not accept credit/debit cards, the room was tiny and had a musty odour. I had no choice but to stay here, because my client paid for it.

Not for a long term stay

If you need a place to crash which the bare minimum, a bed and a toilet + shower. then this will do. there's no lift at the location, so if your room is at the 4th floor you'll have to walk up. if you have alot of baggages, please do not book this hotel. if you have kids, do not stay here as well. the bed linens have ants crawling on them. The window lock of my room with the view of the main road was spoilt so if i had to leave the room, i took everything with me. the toilet roll was riddled with rust stains. toilet floor was sticky, probably never washed or cleaned. the towels in the toilet were also smelly and riddled with brown stains. again, not for picky travellers, but more for backpackers on a tight budget. stayed in room 302.
