An oasis of beauty and tranquility!

This small hotel is a JEWEL! The grounds were lush and beautiful and extremely well kept. The mineral springs were so picturesque and lovely for a dip in the lukewarm water that was full of minerals. The mountain backdrop and river below were stunning as was the cave formations and the waterfall hike. I thoroughly enjoyed exploring the trails and birding was exceptional here as well. I only wish I had longer to stay and explore, I recommend at least 1 full day to explore the property and trails. This hotel amenities and food are basic but location - amazing!

Tranquil Oasis

My mother and I stayed at your wonderful resort on a trip out to see the butterfly migration. Our stay at Agua Blanca made our trip! It is an oasis of peace and tranquility. The setting is idyllic and the staff warm and inviting. Thank you for creating such a special and restorative environment. We look forward to returning to this slice of heaven!

Wellness stay in a fabulous location

We were a small group visiting the Monarch Butterfly reserve in Michoacan, we stayed at this fabulous wellness resort located in a secluded canyon with thermal water lagoon in Jungapeo. After walking up the Monarch Santuario, I really enjoyed swimming in warm thermal water pools and walking in the wooden areas to view a cascade. The 20 room Agua Blanca is located in a manucured tropical garden, solar panels heat water for showers, an organic vegetable garden and small farm provide delicious and simple local food. There is a spa with massage, facials and other wellness therapy. Yoga and Reiki are also available. I would like to come back with several girlfriends for a welness week. It would be an ideal place to rest and feel rejuvenated. The owners and staff are attentive and eager to please. A real paradise in Michoacan (Mexico).

Unexpensive but cheap. No tv in rooms, no amenities not even kleenex, no bottled water (although there is close by where you can fill a jar provided in the room). The thermal waters are not thermal, not clean, the spa very rudimentary. Personal rude and un-cooperative. Food ok but not great. Massages were ok and not expensive, between 25 and 30 dlls for 50 minutes, that is the good note. But do not expect much. No air condition but a fan in the roof, no safe, towels in poor condition.

If you like nature, this is a place to go, it is down on the side or river Tuxpan and it has beautifuly kept gardens, another section of the hotel is left wild with it´s tropical surroundings. It has several rivers as well as natural drinking and mineral water springs.ç Not a luxury hotel, but a very well kept and nicely decorated place. We stayed 2 nights before going to the Monarch Butterlies reserve which is close by. It also has facilities for business events. Not a Sauna but a "Temascal"
