One staff member turned our dream stay into a nightmare!

We were displaced for 3 weeks in between selling our old house and closing on our new home. The first 2 weeks of our stay, we were so impressed with the room, staff, it was lovely. Into the 3rd week it abruptly changed when Aimee, the front desk manager came into the picture. She bizarrely barged into our room in the evening saying ""front desk"" as she had already used a key__ and was thru the door. It took us a while to comprehend this was a staff member, she was so loud and unprofessional. This woman says to us...I have strong suspicion that you're smokin in the room, so I'm required to terminate your stay. We don't even smoke. So after unsuccessfully trying to dodge this horrific bully every time I went out to my car, (she was the one always out smoking) she humiliated me in front of my business partner, we were carrying up just wine and cheese. She told me the rooms weren't meant to be permanent housing. Lastly, at the end of our stay, we had to extend 3 more nights before we could start moving into our new home. I went to the office to pay and I asked her how much. She told me the price with tax and then immediately when I went to swipe my card, I noticed the price was much higher. I notified her of the mistake. She snapped at me...not a mistake, I'm required to upsale every room. EXCUSE ME. UPSALE? NO. WE are checking out NOW! I feel bad because the other staff were so great, but if they allow this behavior they are just as bad. Never in my whole life have I been treated that way.

This is a disgusting attempt to be a cheap hole. Dear lord. The grounds are a mess. Feet are black from the filthy floors. Music from adjoining rooms will not be dealt with. Red Roof Inn is not a destination of choice for me any more

The room was clean and the beds were both super comfortable. Easy check in process with a kind staff. Great location right by the highway. Easy access to portage. All in all a good stay. Will be back!

This was our first visit to Red Roof in Michigan, the staff made was very friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The location of the hotel is very convenient being close to the highway. Would definitely visit again.

This place was absolutely perfect for me while I was on my way to Chicago. It was located right off the highway and has easy access to it when you’re ready to leave. The staff was fantastic was greeted with warm welcome from a kind gentleman(wish I could remember his name.) the room was perfect no stains or nothing. I also noticed compared to the places i usually stay it was quite and not a lot to worry about. Overall great experience and would recommend to any of my friend.
