This B & B is well worth a stay

My husband & i have just come back from a lovely week here we loved every minute of it,the towels changed every day the bed sheets changed twice in the week, the breakfast there was so much choice couldn't ask for anymore they even provide beach/pool towels for your use this place is well worth a visit lovely staff they even gave us a little gift to take home such a lovely touch Thank you to all the staff here

Excellent location. Spacious apartment. Friendly staff (Vanessa at poolside bar very helpful). Breakfast adequate. Daily maid service which was excellent. Oif you are staying g in Kamari they are a good choice as there are so many restaurants nearby and you are in the ideal place to eat out and very close to beach

As someone who traditionally stays in large chain hotels, I found this hotel on a last minute deal and reasoned it would be fine for a cheap week away to an island Ive always wanted to visit. Well, Polydefkis taught me a lesson in my hotel snobbery - this little boutique hotel was absolutely wonderful. Our room was perfect (albeit facing a busy road) , breakfast was plentiful in choice and as I am gluten free I can honestly say the team went out of their way to provide me a great tray full of GF items. The pool always had plenty of free sun beds, and the poolside bar run by Vanessa was a very welcome addition offering drinks and snacks at reasonable prices. Vanessa made our daytimes at the poolside very enjoyable with beers, toasties and banana splits. The apartments are located in a great place right off the main promenade full of restaurants and bars. We paid £25 for a taxi from the airport to the hotel and was there in 10 minutes. We spent an afternoon one day in a winery overlooking the caldera which was unbelievably beautiful and an evening in Oia. I’m very glad we stayed in Kamari rather than Oia as there were far more restaurant options here. I would absolutely recommend this hotel for couples or families and would return in a heartbeat.

A Little Gem!

Just returned from a wonderful 2 weeks at Polydefkis. The apartments are centrally located in Kamari. Close to the beach & lots of great restaurants, tavernas & bars. Supermarkets & a great bakery nearby. The apartments & pool area very clean, pool towels provided on request & sun beds & parasols always available. The room was serviced every day with clean towels. We had a superior one bed apartment which was very spacious & comfortable. The air con worked well. Iron & ironing board were even provided & nice touches such as bath robe & slippers. Good choice of breakfast & all staff were super friendly & helpful. Pool bar offered a good range of drinks & food. We had a balcony overlooking the pool & never any noise at night. The beach is black volcanic sand & quite rocky in places so probably not the best for small children but there is kayaking & paddle boarding for those who enjoy watersports. Loved Polydefkis & Kamari. Will definitely return.

Good hotel, bad room location

Hotel staff was nice and welcoming. They were ready to help anytime. Breakfast was good. I myself don’t like the machine juice because it’s always too sweet/sugary for my taste. Pool was clean and nice. As said before I always got the sunbed too. It wasn’t too crowdy now in August. Our room was clean and okay, but it was at the worst location possible. Our room number was 209 and our balcony was right to the breakfast room. Also people walked by there at night to their own rooms so we had never privacy. Not ever. And the mornings were horrible because of the lack of privacy (image attached). Nice hotel, close to restaurants and the beach. Still. The room location was the worst and that’s why only 3 stars.
