The Candlewood Suites in Manhattan is a clean hotel within walking distance to several places to eat. I didn't give the 5 of 5 as they room (2 beds) we reserved was not available but they did put us in a King suite with a sofa sleeper. This would have been great except the sofa sleeper was very uncomfortable. Also the website says pets are $25 fee for 1 night however when I looked at the bill they charged $50. The did indicate the website was not correct but did take it off. Simple fix would be to get the website updated if the rate changed for pets. Overall the room was spacious and clean. Would stay again.

Candlewood Suites is such a wonderful and comfortable hotel. Bakery right next door. Easy access to restaurants and the college. The rooms are all equipped with a full size refrigerator as well as a range and full size sink with garbage disposal! The in-house snack bar has everything you need and everything you may have forgot. Free hot coffee all day and night. Staff is extremely friendly and make you feel at home. The suite itself has a wonderful wall length desk and eating area, the beds are extreme comfortable as well. I will always stay at this hotel when I'm working in Manhattan or just coming for weekendbto see a Kstate home game.

The place was exceedingly damaged for such a new looking hotel. Furniture and room had damage. Duct tape used to "repair" room darkening shades. Kitchen area had bad smell. IñNext time I'm in town I'll try somewhere else. Good location though. Nice Thai place down the road.

I was in the Manhattan area for one brief night last Saturday visiting a friend. Was able to make a last minute reservation at Candlewood Suites at a reasonable rate. The staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and well appointed, and the stay was pleasant. I will stay there again.

First room had poop on the toilet.....and not to mention it was very stinky. Then they moved me to the top floor suite........nasty hair covered bed linens. Manager was nice but did not refund me. Never ever will i stay again. I have pictures also of the nastiness.
