Wonderful atmosphere but details lacking

I stayed one night in single room in Red house. The room was cute and spacious. But it was lacking in the details. There was no place to put down your things like phone, sanitary bag etc. The bathroom did not offer any shampoo which you might expect when you pay over 100 €. Breakfast was ok, but bread was typical supermarket rye bread from day before. There was no sugar, honey, or any other sweetener in the kitchen. There were at least 4 different types of salt though. Again, breakfast not really matching the hotel’s price range. I still will recommend the hotel to anybody travelling in this cute little town. The place is fantastic with the history. Based on this visit I cannot recommend the restaurant. I had waited for long to visit it. It was one of my trip’s main purposes. So, disappointment was quite big. The food was mediocre. Service was non-existent. I asked for water when I ordered my glass of bubbling. It did not come until I asked again when started was delivered. No one ever came to ask me if I was ok or maybe wanted to have more wine. You might think that for the business it would be good to try to sell more. And you cannot blame rush now, the restaurant was nearly empty. After the started I took ages before the main course arrived. When it was delivered, I did not have any cutlery. I had to wait for those. Why were the tables not set in advance? Worst thing anyhow was to atmosphere. It was sunny July evening, but the place felt like October. It was dark, all the window shades were shut, there was fire in the fireplace and room was cold like in winter. I can imagine it all feels very cozy in autumn but in the summer, I would like to enjoy the summer and sun light.

Lovely quaint place just far enough from Helsinki to warrant a hotel stay. Lovely restaurant, we had a great meal. Nice paths to walk in nature with river running by. Swan in the cold cold water in the morning.

Large, nice rooms. The restaurant is way above the standard one would expect in Karkkila. Extra plus for nice playlist. Shame on the person who designed the lighting in the restaurant in 1980s. A disaster. Friendly staff, tasty food and overall nice atmosphere.

I spent a night here in June 2021, and they stay could've not been more perfect. The staff is easygoing, friendly and so helpful, rooms are very tidy and comfortable, interior done with good taste matching the location. The building as a historical spot is an experience in itself to stay in, surroundings are very idyllic. peace and quiet. Breakfast was lovely. Plenty of activities to do around, you can also hop on a bike that they borrow for free, and cruise easily around the city. Also one of the best walking tracks in town starts straight from the yard. In the evenings (or lunch), lovely restaurant and atmospheric garden (check the events too) to enjoy your time. Thank you!

Perfect weekend with friends

We stayed two nights in Tehtaan Hotelli. The staff was super friendly and helpful, the place was beuatiful, rooms we clean and tidy, the whole environment was absolutely fantastic and the restaurant at the hotel served excellent food. We did some canoeing, yoga, sauna, got massage. It could have not been better place for safe and relaxing weekend.
