Unpleasant experience
That was my second staying in this hotel. I’d been here before - about a year ago without any issues at that time. But this time everything appeared worse. At check-in I was notified that there would be pre-planned water supply disruption (cold as well as hot) since 11pm till 8am. I suppose that in case of planned service restriction the service price should have been reduced. Other methods of inconvenience compensation could be discussed. Alas, the only way for this compensation was a 5-L bottle with water in a bathroom. The next morning there was no water supply till 9:30 (might be longer - I had to leave a hotel). Staff on the reception tried to assure me that it would get fixed in no time. That morning I had to had shower pouring water at myself from a mug. And more: a tea set that I used at the first day wasn’t resupplied during the next two days of staying. At the last morning before check-out I accidentally found at the bottom self of a wardrobe some clothes. This stuff was identified as ladies warm undergarment and a pair of socks (obviously not mine). Apparently room service didn’t look in selves during the room cleaning after the previous guest.
It was very bad
The reception were impolite it was a mess when we arrived at the hotel the check in process tooks us a lot of time we stayed there for 4 days every day we were forced to go to reception stand in a busy line to charge our key which we payed for 4 days but we should charge our keybevery single day it was one of my worst experiences
Always great experience
It is always a pleasure to stay in this hotel: clean rooms, hospitable and beautiful front desk girls, nicely served breakfast. The only disappointing thing is wi-fi: working from time to time,not the best speed
Alright
The hotel is located in a quiet street outside the city centre, we had a big group and the lobby was too small for them (also too hot in the lobby that everyone preferred to wait outside), front of the hotel is also too small to stop coaches; if none of these concerns you it's a standard and clean hotel to stay. Room got safe, free bottled water, fridge, bathrobes, toiletry kits all standard stuff. Room was very clean. The elevators were too slow. There are 2 supermarkets around the hotel and one is 24hrs. Staff were nice and helpful.
Friendly staff but hotel needs to be updated
I was in Kazan for the football and stayed a week at the Park Inn. Both check in and check out took a long time. As a Patinum member I expected to be upgraded but was informed that no rooms were available. However, the next day I met with Liliya, the GM and her colleague Artur who apologised and offered an upgrade two days later but when the time came and I looked at the room, I declined the offer as there were some very bad large stains on the carpet. I was given a voucher to be used in the dining room which I appreciated but redeeming the voucher was a little bit complicated. This was true of other issues related to using a debit/credit card. Systems need to be streamlined and simplified. I arranged for a taxi pick up at the airport, which I thought was rather expensive. It was not until I was returning to the airport and using a 'normal' cab that I realised how expensive it had been! Cab back to the airport was less than one third of what i had paid to the hotel. Very disappointing. Staff were friendly and wanted to be helpful but I think they were not accustomed to having so many foreign guests of different nationalities at one time (world cup) so understandably, maybe they were stretched. Lenar in the bar was most helpful. Once I got my bearings, it was very easy to walk from the hotel to the centre of Kazan, a lovely city, offering good Tatar hospitality!
