A total letdown…not even worth $85

Came to town for fishing and thought this would be a great choice for lodging. Boy was I in for a surprise.. We should have left when upon entering we found a used bath towel hanging on the bathroom door. We proceeded to fishing and returned at around 10 Pm and got ready for bed…pulled back the bedspread and were horrified to take a look at the box spring and it looked like someone had gotten murdered in the room. Both box springs looked to have been smeared and splashed with blood. Needless to say several people spent the night in the car.

Good, inexpensive stay when you're passing through the area

This property is nothing fancy---just a good, inexpensive "older" hotel that was probably built in the 1960s. Our room was clean, and had a patio walk-out view of Lake Michigan across the street. Being an older property, it was limited in the number of plug-ins available for computers, charging devices, etc., which we "worked around". (We always bring a power strip or two when we travel for situations like this. Even in the "name hotels", sometimes these are needed.) The room had a fridge. Front desk clerk (who may have been the property manager?) was helpful and friendly. They offered packaged pastries for breakfast, and had a juice machine. Again, nothing fancy---just nice. It was a good property to stay at, as choices in Kewaunee are really limited. Decent value for the cost. We'd stay there again.

cozy, comfortable and complete

Very comfortable for 2 active seniors and their bikes. It's right across from the harbor on Lake Michigan and the Ahnapee bike trail is outside your door. Plenty of other trails in the area, Kewaunee is a small, quiet community but has many good places to dine and explore. The hotel has everything you need although the decor is a bit dated.

One night was plenty

Stayed here on a trip through Door county for a single night. Very Basic rooms which would be fine with us as we just needed a place to sleep. Wasn’t impressed. Room had a weird smell mix of staleness and over done scented cleaning products maybe? Only one outlet open to plug phone chargers or anything else into and it wasn’t near a bed. Photo of our harbor side view with a restaurant and gas station between.

Going to a Packer game?
Avaliou em 17 de dezembro de 2018
If you’re going to a Packers game and looking for an inexpensive, clean place to stay, definitely check out this hotel. It’s about a 20 minute drive through the Wisconsin countryside from Green Bay and it’s a great price for a clean, fairly large room. Don’t want to drive that far to the game? They run a shuttle bus the day of the game. Compared to the exhorbitant prices you pay in town, this is a steal. There’s a bar/restaurant across the street if you’re looking for food or drinks (Packers fans don’t drink do they?) when you get back.
