Tho the island can be a bit dirty in some parts and the mopeds on the road too much BUT staying here was like our own paradise. Very relaxing and very friendly. Fa and her family are amazing and take good care of you and mom's cooking is the best - my fav was green curry and dumplings in coconut cream. The hut is nice and spacious with sliding glass door and a decking area with chairs to sit on. Toiletries are provided and loads of shops just walking distance (5-10 mins). The huts are sea facing but this part of the beach is not great to swim on as it can be a bit dirty and tide gets very low but other nice beach is just 10-12 mins walk away. Fa organised a private long tail boat trip for us around the island and emerald cave, which was reasonable and very enjoyable :) the accomodation is about 10 mins walk from the pier along the beach but if you have heavy luggage or are physically chalkenged then get a tuk tuk from the pier. Nurse house consists of 6 huts - 5 in the garden area and number 6 right on the water ( so if you want that one then you need to email FA as soon as you book). You will definitely enjoy your stay here as we did and we highly recommend it :)
Best stay. Best family atmosphere.

The bungalows are lovely, very clean, new and comfortable. The beach is directly in front of them. It‘s not the swimming beach though; for swimming you walk 10 minutes to the very nice tip of the island. Around nurse house is where the locals live, fishing people and others. Nurse Houses‘ mama cooks very good, but there are also nice restauraunt all around. The best is the cozy family atmosphere in this place. You live with a family; but still have all your privacy you wish. Ask them, tours, snorkeling, private transfers, candle light dinners or personal seafood BBQ - and they organize it for you. - The island itself is a bit of a plastic-garbage disaster; which is a bit sad, but the lack of awareness of that, is a problem in a lot of those places in the world. It‘s a mix of education and non-existing given solutions. The smell of burning plastic fires is also an every evening event on this otherwise to magical beautiful island.
Excellent fish diner

We thoroughly enjoyed visiting Kohmook Nurse House. We had dinner there and chose local fish and squid which had been caught that day. The food was excellent and the staff were charming. The meal was also very good value for money. There is a nice shady tree from where you can watch local fishing boats in the harbour while sipping a cool beer during the heat of the day.
The best food , lovely family ♥️

The host 'Fa' was super friendly and spoke sufficient English. She was able to sort boat and taxi service too. We were here 5 days and the family were really friendly. The Nurse house gardens and beach hut was lovely ( the best one I've stayed in) with a private bathroom on the back (little wooden stairs down into the 'wet room) Balcony on the front of the hut - looking out to sea ( unfortunately you can't swim on this beach and you wouldn't want too either due to the waste ) But nice, golden sandy beaches for swimming are close by and you can walk to them or get a tuc tuc (50 baht) - but take precautions for sand flies. Fa's mum makes amazing food. We ate at a couple of other places on the island but the food at Nurse house was the best ( we wished we'd eaten more here). The cost was good too. Even better than the T.A no.1 food place. Welcome coconut drink straight off the tree. An easy walk from the pier, but you have to put the trash out of your mind as you walk through this part of the island. There appears to have been a flood which hasn't yet been cleared by some neighbours. You will see cleaner parts to the island when you explore. We would recommend this guest house.... its a pleasant place to stay and you must have the green curry and masaman curry!
