fui uma semana de ferias para este hotel de 23 a 30 de agosto de 2009, e posso dizer que foram as piores ferias dos ultimos anos. fomos 8 pessoas com 3 crianças, para começar colocaram-nos em blocos distantes e como iamos em grupo pediamos para alterar essa situação e recusaram dizendo que o hotel estava cheio, ate ai tudo bem, essa parte foi culpa da agencia que ao reservarr deveria ter dito que era em grupo para reservar quartos juntos. Os quartos eram minusculos e a casa de banho tambem, a limpeza era razoavel, mas superficial. A piscina era grande, mas atenção por volta das 6 da tarde aparece um homem com um balde de cloro e comoça a atirar o cloro para a piscina com as pessoas dentro da piscina, parace mentira mas e a pura realidade eu estava na piscina a essa hora e fui obrigado a sair. O sistema tudo incluido deles e uma treta pois tem que se pagar por exemplo o cafe expresso (2€) a agua engarrafada!!! sim agua gratis so da torneira e depois da 24h é tudo a pagar!!!! O restaurante principal e o unico que se come alguma coisa de jeito a evitar os tematicos, mas cuidado as pessoas que se atrasam e entram no restaurante perto da hora do fecho, que a noite era as 22h, porque mal sao 22h retiram a comida toda num espaço de minutos, isto sucedia em todas as refeições independentemente de estaram pessoas ainda a comer. Ao almoço era muito mau, pouca variadade, durante a semana que la estive comi pizzza a semana toda e ou era espetada de porco or filete de porco grelhado. A praia era horrivel, suja e com muitas pedras e tinhamos que pagar as espreguiçadeiras (2,5€ por espreguiçadeira por dia) O pior foi terem negado leite a um casal amigo com 2 filhos pequenos para encher os biberois, porque queriamos um pacote de 1 litro e so nos queriam dar 2 copos, apos muitas discussão la deram o leite mas era uma discussão todos os dias por causa do leite. Por tudo isto aconselho a nao irem para este hotel.

Honest review - sat here by the pool on the last day as I know I will never get around to writing the review otherwise and feel people need to know a few things before coming here. We have stayed at this hotel for 2 weeks and here are my opinions on the following: Pool & Grounds - The pool and the grounds our beautiful. There are a wide variety of pools to choose from. We chose to sit round the main pool most days, the pool is enormous and well kept with entertainment on most of the day. The crepe station is also lovely with fresh crepes being made all day. The grounds are being maintained all of the time and they are immaculate and very well kept. It was lovely to see the animals around there including the baby chickens and kittens. Hotel Staff - The hotel staff work extremely hard especially the restaurant staff, crepe station workers and the reps. You can see that they are overworked and do an impossible job but always with a welcoming smile on their faces. Some of the reception staff are slightly rude as when I reported that some of the kittens mentioned above were unwell they didn’t seem to care at all and just shrugged me off. Evening entertainment- the evening entertainment is poor. The reps do their best but I feel when working all day long they probably need a break of an evening and it would be much more enjoyable for the guests to watch something else other than the reps dancing on stage which we see all day by the pool. Every other 5* hotel ive been to usually bring external entertainment into the hotel of an evening which I have found to be much more entertaining and enjoyable. Food - The food, in my opinion, IS EXTREMELY POOR! 6 OUT OF 7 OF MY PARTY BECAME EXTREMELY UNWELL WITH SICKNESS WHICH CAUSED US TO MISS MANY DAYS OF OUR HOLIDAY. I ENDED UP FAINTING AT THE HOTEL ONE DAY DUE TO BEING SO UNWELL. We reported this to our tour representative and have also told our insurance about this. When I went up to the tour rep to tell him, he had a long list of names out in front of him and replied to me ‘join the club’. We were told that a gastro virus is going around the hotel and island but it is being investigated whether it is food related. Most of the food is inedible, apart from breakfast where there remains some choice but the eggs smell like fish and also taste like it. Hotel Room- The hotel room is basic and dated. 2-3* maximum for this. The beds and towels are changed daily but the room isn’t cleaned often and there is an ant problem within the rooms. Overall Holiday- kos is a beautiful island, the harbour have a lovely selection of restaurants and bars and all the locals here are lovely. The sunset in Zia is breathtakingly beautiful and is a must visit. I would personally come back to Kos but probably not the blue lagoon resort. I hope this gives a real review and insight as to what the hotel Is like.

Never write reviews but as I’m going back to Kos in July I’ve looked at hotels and wanted to give my reasons for not considering the Blue Lagoon again. We originally booked for August 21 but we contracted covid so moved our holiday to October. The hotel was lovely but cold at night and windy in the day so we couldn’t really swim and get the full holiday experience. Restaurants were ok but the Chinese was lovely and we ate there twice. The Mesogios was by our room but this was ruled by the rudest maitre’d I’ve ever come across. On our first day he literally shouted at us for not wearing a plastic glove to pick our food up with the tong? We’d just arrived and nobody told us? He made us put our plates down and return to our tables to await a glove? My teenage boys were mortified he was so rude! His attitude was so wrong throughout our stay and it stopped us going in there. Whenever we passed the restaurant he was either lazing around eating or smoking or groping his girlfriend/waitress by the main restaurant! Rooms were lovely and enjoyed the entertainment, but the staff weren’t the friendliness to be honest and service not the best. Wouldn’t go back. This year have booked a different hotel so fingers crossed.

Do not expect 5*. Having been on previous 5* all inclusive holidays with TUI, this is nowhere near. At best the rooms are 2. The pool areas and ground are beautiful but that does not make up for the rest. Drinks are ok but the food was at best like warm, over-salted and definitely not 5*. We reported to The hotel manager (Ariti) that one of our party was having sickness & diohorrea. She looked at me and said “what do you want me to do”! I asked what were they able to do. She said it was probably gastroenteritis and would we like a doctor to call out! I said yes. We had to pay 100 euros for the doctor and 79 euros for the prescription. Interestingly the doctor told us he was visiting other guests on site with the same symptoms. The hotel manager did not tell me I should report this to the TUI rep. This is why this hotel doesn’t get inspected. If you don’t report these issues to your rep, they go unnoticed. Disgusting service overall by the hotel. Not even a courtesy call from them to ask how our family member was. Bear in mind that we had only eaten and had drinks in the hotel by this point. Lots and lots of guests complaining about the food. Hotel manager very patronising. KOS aid beautiful but this hotel is not what it appears to be in the brochure. MAKE SURE YOU REPORT TO YOUR REP IF YOU ARE UNWELL!!!!

The worst hotel I have ever been in. The facility itself is very nice & promising but the food is terrible & not fresh. Our room was not cleaned for 2 days! The resort is quite big so they have golf carts but it take ages until they come. Some of the staff has no sense of service & one even yelled at me. They were not trying to solve the issue we had in one of the restaurants at all. This is definitely a disappointment.
