All together a quite good stay

We choose the Hotel La Burna for our romantic snowboard trip of NYE celebration. The price is absolutely reasonable. We requested to change our room for a double bed one, and the lady was so helpful not only with this, but in general. The location is absolutely great to escape and recharge yourself and peace and quiet with a breathtaking landscape, however it takes only 7-8 minutes’ drive to the Vall Nord Lift in La Massana and only minutes drive until the next lift stop to have free parking. The hotel had very nice warm and cosy room, the active fireplace was absolutely addition in the restaurant for the atmosphere. The breakfast was a good selection of “ a bit of everything”, which we really enjoyed! We decided to stay for dinner a couple of evenings and that was such a lovely decision! We had delicious 3 course meals (well portioned) for absolutely great price! In fact we spent our NYE in the hotel and the dinner was amazing without spending a fortune! The staff were incredibly helpful, friendly and kind! We would defiantly be back! We highly recommend it for families, but also for couples for a getaway to explore Andorra or do winter sports! La Burna Fantastique!

What a wonderful, stunning location. For anyone who wants to "get away from it all" it is the perfect retreat. All rooms appear to have balconies with stunning views. The rooms are simple but comfortable, and the welcome warm (although English isn't spoken so far as we could tell, if you have a smattering of French or Spanish or even if you can point, gesture and smile you will cope). We had a half board deal (rather quaint nowadays but very welcome as the hotel is in a rural location). The dinner was simple but delicious - we enjoyed the "mountain paella" and went to bed with a feeling of contentment afterwards. Our bed was comfy and it was very quiet and dark at night. The breakfast buffet was really good, with excellent coffee, juices, fruit, breads, croissants, eggs, cheeses, sausages and cold meats and yoghurt. We really enjoyed our night here and were sad to leave.

Nice views but very loud rooms

The area is lovely to visit. The hotel photos misrepresent the breakfast. There is no espresso machine. The fruit is sparse. There is one carafe of juice. There is no "bike storage" either. I believe these may be from previous ownership. The room was comfortable but you could hear everything from the rest of the hotel...every door closing, every conversation, every dog barking!, every shower being used, every chair being scraped across the floor or the balcony... And the wifi is not reliable, kept cutting out.

Exceeded expectations

They stress the panorama, and our room certainly had it. The room was smallish, and there were flights of stairs to get to it, but it had all our needs. Wi-fi was very good. Really quiet at night, and really dark in the room. That, and a good bed, makes for a good sleep. Dinner was served from 7.30 and is optional. We were offered choices for each of 3 courses (approx 3 choices for each), and liked everything we had each of our two days. Sausages appear all over the place, in the "traditional" soup, in the "mountain rice" and as a main course. The dinner was 15 euros, which was very reasonable. There was some fun with the language as one staff member had English, another had French etc. but everyone got along and it was easy to talk to other guests. Big breakfast spread included cold meat and cheeses along with the regular continental breakfast offerings, all very generous for the price. Free and easy parking, and in the village you can walk to the interesting museum of an Andorran farmhouse.
