Amazing!

Wow, this place is so great. We stayed 1 night in the Creamery and it was so relaxing. The owners are so kind and fun. Our breakfast was really good, we choose to eat at one of the Inn's community tables outside, instead of our private cottage. We had great company and the weather was so nice. We enjoyed walking around the town of Langley, it's just so quaint. If you plan on eating in town, you need to get there early!!

Great Place

Avaliou em 16 de novembro de 2019

My wife and I stayed here for two nights in early November. The guests stay in cottages, affording some privacy. The furnishings were good. The couple running this place were very nice and even adapted their breakfast offerings to fit my diet. This place is located up from the waterfront of downtown Langley on a quiet street. The view from the property was good, even in the fall. (Weather has been drier then normal up here, this year.) All in all, this place merits consideration if you are planning on staying in South Whidbey Island.

Great cottages

We had one night to spend in Langley and rented a cottage here. So glad we did. Our host Jacki was warm and accommodating and let us check in early. She showed us to our lovely room which is gorgeous and has a porch with a great view.

Overrated, not dog friendly and a bit sneaky about it.

I booked this at the last minute and selected it because they advertised being "pet friendly". We have a non-shedding 50 pound Portuguese Water Dog who is also a therapy dog. When we arrived the owner seemed surprised we had a dog in spite of their "pet friendly" listing. He insisted we should have called first which I have NEVER heard of. But he checked us in and we assured him we were very respectful and would be low impact. There was no mention of extra fees etc. Note this B&B cost $200 a night so I expect some flexibility when they say "pet friendly". After a surprisingly meager breakfast we get hit with an unexpected additional "pet fee" of $40! No mention of an extra fee when we checked in or at Booking.com. $40 is outrageous as far as pet fees! And why? Our room was about the size of a garden shed with wood floors. I covered the bed with my own sheet and blanket. If he wanted to charge a crazy pet fee like that he should have posted it on his listing AND told us before we checked in! It was sneaky and insulting to drop a bomb like that when we checked out. Dog owners don't want to stay where they aren't wanted. The Country Cottage does not want dogs. Find someplace else, there's lots of them. Note about breakfast: they advertise a "full English breakfast". To me this means a particular thing. What we got was a kind of french toast egg custard thing with 2 wafer thin ham pieces. It wasn't bad but my wife's a vegetarian and would have preferred something not sweet. She didn't eat any and we had to buy her breakfast someplace else. There was no choice and nobody asked what we might like. If you have ever been to England you will laugh at the notion this is an "english breakfast". Again, for $200+ you expect a bit more in the breakfast department.

Great hosts and cozy cottages

Jacki and Tom make you feel so welcome. You can tell how much they love running these cottages. The breakfasts were all THE best and our cottage was so cozy, comfortable, and gorgeous. We can't wait to come again! If you get the chance you have to try Jacki's scones, amazing!
