Big welcome, good night
Avaliou em 9 de abril de 2022
We arrived to a BIG welcome from the owner, Mitch. This was our third visit (the last time was before Covid) so we knew that the meat platter is always a winner. Once again it didn't disappoint. We were hit by load shedding halfway through the meal but that didn't stop Chef Jackie pulling off a miracle by whipping up some banana split waffles in the dark. We spent the night in a spacious, very comfy room and enjoyed waking to the sounds of the farm. Also loved the excellent breakfast of omelettes and French toast. Thank you Mitch, Jackie, Anele, Ivan and everyone else who ensured we had a fantastic experience.

Shabby, Loud and Poorly Managed
Avaliou em 13 de setembro de 2021
I went here for my mother-in-law's family lunch and it was appalling from beginning to end. Don't let the "country estate" part of the title mislead you - it's just a pub for the owner and his mates and the dining part is just a necessary distraction. The service was very poor and the overwhelmed waitress did not even have a notepad to take the orders. It's supposed to be next to a cattle farm but there was no fillet left for us and we go there at 13:00. There was no wine on the wine list except for 3 options of barely drinkable house wine. The chicken nuggets for one of the children at our table was raw. The chips were cooked in grease way beyond its healthy point. The place is loud - the table next to us was watching a rugby match on a phone (!) and screaming like children every time someone scored or something. I thought that what the pub inside was for, We got some free ice-cream at the end but this place does not deserve to be open. There are so many better options in Muldersdrift than this. It's a drinking hole plain and simple.

DISAPPOINTMENT IS AN UNDERSTATEMENT

Creepy comes to mind when I think of this hotel. Very badly maintained. Broken window visible from the garden. Linen is disgusting and very old. Very poor water pressure, with no hot water - was recommended that we shower in another room ! Menu is VERY limited - it is not what you see on the website. NO Covid regulations followed. This venue is completely overpriced for what you get, and is definitely NOT worth it.

We turned around
Avaliou em 7 de março de 2021
We turned around and did not stay to eat or drink something. It was 12:00 and it seemed as if they did not finish with the set up yet. Everything seemed a bit unorderly. When we asked for menus. We only received drink menus. We later realized that the menu is on the black board with limited options. No salads. When we asked whether they can do a salad, the waiter did not sound convincing. We decided to rather look for some place else. Was also looking forward to the shop and deli but it were closed. The flea market that was advertised, only had four stalls.
