Currently staying in this hotel. Upon checking in late last night I was disappointed to find no signs of additional cleaning of the room. I expected to see a seal at the door. I have no idea what type of cleaning method or sanitizing was done protect my health! Very leery. Cannot wait to get out of here. Hope and pray I don't get covid 19.
Roach in bathroom!!!
So this is what I found in my hotel room in middle of the night. A roach. I'll never ever stay here again. I have a pic and will post on their main website and complaint line. 245$ for roach in my King suite room, absolutely not!! I even upgraded from the smaller room initially because I like space. Key fob machine had to be rebooted several times so took 20 min to get keys. Arrived at 10pm and trash was every where over flowing in trash cans by elevators and on floor we stayed on. I never needed to turn cold water on to take a shower because the hot water never got hot enough to use it. Not a good or comfortable stay at all and would never recommend.
Beautiful property, horrible management
I booked a room at this Hampton inn on a whim due to a spur of the moment trip to Galveston beach (a 20 minute drive). The property is great but the management is terrible. The first night, at midnight we were sound asleep and awoken by a beating on our door saying "front desk!"... I thought it was a joke. I answer, and before I could get any words out of my mouth the manager standing right in my face goes " we've had some noise complaints of running up and down the hallway- next time it happens we're calling the police" . I respond " do I look like I've been running up and down the halls?" . "oh sorry for waking you up". They were waking the entire 4th floor up accusing everyone of making noise in the hall (her counterpart was across the hallway knocking on someone else's door), tell me that makes any sense ? They kept a dinky complimentary breakfast from a pretty inconvenient time frame of 7-9 am. There's about 80+ rooms, think about how many people to serve that is. They serve you due to covid, and the portions were so small they wouldn't fill a dog up. The syrup they gave didn't hardly even fill a corner of the waffle. No one was cleaning tables or anything in the eating area. So it was pretty much pick the best of the worst and hope you don't get covid-19. The 2nd day, housekeeping knocked as they were opening the door (no chance to respond) , thus barging in on us twice. After the first time we sent a note in the hilton app saying we had left and the room was ok to be cleaned. The hotel never answered/flat out ignored us. 2nd time we were back and they came again. So our room never got cleaned the entire time we were there, and we pretty much sat on edge if they'd come barging in again. I called the day after I got back and spoke to the manager about my concerns, she basically said "oh sorry" and couldn't care less. My advice? You get what you pay for, if you don't mind forking over a few extra dollars or a longer drive, i'd look into other hilton options in the area.
This is the perfect location from excellent staff to accommodations! Jazmine has been remarkable over several of our visits as she is attentive to inquire as to any requests or needs we might have and follows through our stay to be sure we have everything we need so that our stay is top notch! She is very sensitive and accommodating to all her patrons . In addition, other individuals on staff that we met briefly were also positive and accommodating from Diana and Sparkle at the front desk to the woman handling the breakfast bar. The rooms are contemporary with fresh linens and they have employed lovely cleaning staff that is thorough! The hotel provided a quiet venue in the midst of a busy city. It is a great location for business in either Houston or Galveston. Thanks Hampton for hiring great staff!
Good clean nice place, friendly staff, good facilities, updated room accomodations, gym was basic but effective, lounge area was basic but effective, a few more details or attention to details and its 10/10
