Allstate Inn

Great budget friendly place to stay...very clean, friendly staff...there was nothing really to complain about...did i mention that it's budget friendly. You may want to ask for air freshener...2 3/4 stars

Get what you pay.

I have stayed here over the years due to Lebanon Raceway across the street. This motel at one time was a nice place probably in the 70's and 80's. It is an old Best Western. The rooms are reasonably clean. Shower and bath areas are clean. Bed is comfortable. Cost is reasonable. I found no bed bugs upon arrival. Quiet location. Would not stay here for a vacation. Front desk people live in the rooms near lobby. Somewhat rude. Lobby a mess. Old paint cans in corner. No coffee. Other than that, I have stayed in worse places.

Dingy, Unkempt

We needed an overnight stay between Cincinnati and Columbus, Ohio. Magnuson Hotels, an independent hotel group booked our reservation in Lebanon at the Allstate Inn. Allstate Inn is located about 10 minutes from the interstate on the down slope of a hill, below the surface street. We arrived late at night during a holiday weekend and found only two old vehicles in the lot. The door to one room was wide open and stuffed with things making it look like it was the occupant's permanent residence. The proprietor checked us in and billed us higher than the "full price" quoted by the Star Club discount reservations through Magnuson Hotels. We found our room. The carpet needed vacuuming. The walls were dingy and needed paint. The curtains were so long that they were crammed up on the windowsill. A partially repaired hole in a corner of the ceiling was near the door. An ice bucket was on a plastic tray marked 'Hampton Inn'. Soap, but no shampoo was found. The shower and the toilet were clean, but the sink was stained. The electrical outlets by the sink were not grounded, nor were they functional because the plugs to small appliances kept falling out. We killed a flying beetle in the sink area and a spider in the bed sheets before trying to sleep. The king-size mattress was comfortable as were the three, fluffy pillows, but as the external, room air-conditioner cycled throughout the night with a loud bam, sleep was fitful at best.
