Not So Grand Resort

Avaliou em 11 de abril de 2019

We went here recently. The kids were really excited to get here. However, the resort was in need of a MAJOR clean up and repair. Doors and windows were broken and missing. The side balcony had rusty iron bars exposed. The beach was REALLY dirty - I picked up USED BABY DIAPERS and there were a lot of plastics and even glass shards in the sand. Also, a lot of floating water hyacinths on the beach. There were cobwebs on the ceiling of our room. My niece developed a rash from the dust. After one night, we decided to leave even though my sister already paid in full for 3 nights as we couldn't let the kids swim in the beach with the used diapers and other garbage all over the place. The aircon in our room was not enough to cool the room so we had to have an electric fan. It is not worth the price or the time it took us to get to this place. Really disappointed because the online pictures really looked good but in reality, it's not. We would have considered staying if only the beach was clean and safe for kids, but it clearly wasn't. We were really disappointed. For improvement - PLEASE CLEAN UP YOUR BEACH ESPECIALLY GET RID OF THE USED DIAPERS, BROKEN GLASS, AND PLASTICS LITTERING THE SAND.

Good but can be better.

My Team had our team building in Royal Grande on Apr 01, 2017. Royal Grande is the last resort located at the left side of Nonong Casto. The resort was not the 1st in our choices however since we are in a tight budget; we ended up considering the resort. What you see in their website is what you'll get HOWEVER there are some things that needs improvement. Let me break it down with pros and cons. :) Pros: • The resort rate is affordable. • The staff are friendly and accommodating (Shout-out to Manong who serve as our runner whenever we need something. Apologies because I forgot his name but he was really helpful.) • The ambiance is relaxing. • The resort is clean despite of the pool. (Our accommodation is overnight and we arrived at 1pm. There were other customers who are using the pool and the time we arrived, the water in the pool is not that pleasing to the eyes.) Cons: • An air-conditioned room that you cannot feel the AC. We requested for a stand fan because of that. • The curtains in our room are like curtains from an abandoned house. Don’t get me wrong, the curtains are clean but the color/design and the way it was hang from the window it’s not relaxing at all. It feels so gloomy. • And lastly, the most important thing in a staycation: THE COMFORT ROOM. It should have been better if they cleaned the comfort room from the tiles to the toilet bowl and spray freshener to remove the unpleasant odor. Despite the cons, I still recommend Royal Grande for a staycation. ☺☺☺
