Not the best
Definitely not the best hotel. When I got to the lobby and the first floor area, I did not think it was so bad, but afterwards we had to carry our luggages 3 stories because it does not have an elevator. I thought well it's okay. When I settled into my room I was doing great, I was enjoying the spaciousness of the room. I was lying down on my bed until I noticed some bugs on the walls, floors, and above the beds. I was really disgusted and asked for it to be cleaned, finding bugs in your room should not be something that happens. After the fixed that I went back inside to sleep, when I woke up I was expecting breakfast in the lobby, but it wasn't much of a breakfast, it was just cereal and fruit, so that was also a disappointment. I didn't have a horrible stay but it wasn't great either, if you have other better options for hotels in Leon, I recommend staying elsewhere.
What a disaster
I stayed at this hotel before about two years ago, so I decided that they still had maintained everything the same, what a surprise, this hotel is so far away from basic service. Starting from the staff, they were so rude and do not understand what a hotel offers: "service". We arrived at 2:30 pm and they told us they could not give us the room until 3:00 pm, that is the time of delivery of the room, I asked if they had one room (we had reservations for two), to leave our luggage, we had been driving for 6 hours and wanted to leave everything at the hotel before we went out to lunch, that would not be possible, they could put our luggage in a closet beside the front desk and at 3:00 they could take the luggage to the room. After 15 minutes trying to get a room (2:45 pm) we had to put the luggage at the closet and left. When we got back at 9:00 pm, the luggage was still in the closet and we had to take everything up 3 stories because they did not have bellboy (was already gone) and they do not have an elevator. The rooms are old, beds are uncomfortable, had to call everyday to ask for towels, your key card stops working at 1:00 pm everyday, even if you stay several nights, so you have to ask them at front desk to reactivate your key, I told them that this was ridiculous why did I have to do this everyday, the staff just said that is the way it is, if you do not like it call management, so I told them to call the manager and they said no. The restaurant after 9:00 pm only serves club sandwich and salad. I will not stay at this hotel ever again, I would not recommend it.
Nice hotel with quite good location. Quite far from center, but road connection is ok. Nice rooms, quiet pool and good breakfast . Fair prices. Internet is not very fast, but it is free. Free parking just next to the hotel.
Forgettable To Say The Least
I cannot name all of the items in my room that did not work, even after being moved to a new room. I travel for a living and have never stayed at a property that costs more than $110US and had the room, service and the food go so wrong. Leon Bajio is a business town and has a lot of trade shows, but the worst hotel in a dreary city had never come close to the pathetic display that I encountered, and I speak Spanish. The staff seemed paralyzed to do anything except apologize and stare back at me. I am latin and fit in pretty good in Mexico, so the tourist thing will not work this time. The food was bad, the internet, burnt light bulbs, blow dryer, telephone in room……….I digress. Don't stay here if you can help it.
Home Away From Home - Kid Friendly!
Clean, spacious rooms with cable tv, air conditioning, and internet access. Outdoor pool and kid play area. Great wait staff at included breakfast.
