Room was lovely, very traditional, warm and had everything needed. Some fantastic views from the window (see photo). Staff were friendly and helpful, only thing I would like to see improved is the buffet lunch, it was a little light, but tasty.

COMFORTABLE AND FRIENDLY HOTEL IN THE BEST LOCATION IN LEUTASCH

The welcome at check in at the Xander is great! It was our pleasure to be met by Andrea who provided lots of extra information about the Leutasch valley. Our spacious room was really clean, comfortable and quiet. It was kept spotless during our visit by a very professional cleaning team. The swimming pool and sauna area in the basement was really convenient. I managed a swim twice every day! Hotel breakfasts were a real highlight. The choice available at the buffet was extensive and the food was very fresh. In addition, the kitchen would prepare freshly cooked eggs on request. We enjoyed our dinners too. There is always a choice of meat, fish and vegetarian dishes so as non meat eaters, we felt we always had good options. Only one of the vegetarian dishes didn’t work for us. Artichoke hearts in Parmesan sauce is really more suitable as a starter. Having eaten it, I was still hungry! However, the Gala Dinner really made up for that. It was magnificent. Additionally, and at no extra charge, there’s a very informal buffet provided for residents between 1.00 pm and 3.00 pm. It includes soup, salad, cakes (including doughnuts!) and coffee. This effectively means that Half Board becomes Full Board. A real bonus. The team of young waiting staff are GREAT. They are attentive, courteous and very professional. Nothing is too much trouble and they all have a great memory for the things you like. If you want to go cross country skiing, the location of the Xander is hard to beat. Right in the middle of the valley, it offers easy access to the whole ski area. This is really helpful if you only want to ski for a few hours. The buses, giving access to the whole ski area plus Seefeld and Mittenwald, stop right outside. If you don’t bring your own car, the included bus ticket is really useful. If you show your reservation to the bus driver, you can get free travel from Seefeld even before you arrive! If you’re travelling via Mittenwald, you just pay €1.30 to get from Mittenwald station to the border. We had to leave quite early so we took a taxi back to Mittenwald. At just over €28 this was good value too. Taxi Schütz are based in Mittenwald but will happily come to collect you. As a bonus, I had an enjoyable chat about Scotch Whisky with the friendly driver! Checking out was not quite as smooth as checking in. Actually, it took three attempts before they were ready to take our money! However, this didn’t detract from our lovely holiday at the wonderful Xander.

Pitstop on our Way home from Italy. We had been looking forward to stay In the alpes. But we could’t dine at the hotel, because off to many guests. The room was old and worn. We had to sleep with open Windows and therefor a lit of mosquitos. We will not come back.

Hello We were very disappointed with your hotel. Impersonal home that does not match the welcome and friendliness of Austrian hotels. Disappointing food, not worthy of a 4-star hotel: rudimentary inputs, for example cutlet-chips with a simple bag of ketchup on the plate as a sauce! One Sunday morning, a bus full of Chinese breakfast: plus a single free spot, the buffet completely empty, and nothing for breakfast! the next day on Monday, the same thing, at breakfast, a full bus of Indians, and the same thing with a buffet robbed! By cons, I must thank the waitresses and waiters who were very good. In conclusion, I do not recommend this hotel (even with the 20 € that the hotel offers to recommend) that does not deserve 4 stars! There are so many other good hosts in Austria

The late check-in experience was good. The rooms were expansive, clean and the beds were comfortable. The king bed was actually two doubles. :-( The breakfast looked great; not for 17 Euro per person.
