Clean affordable friendly hotel
I am a hotel snob usually only staying at the Hilton chain. We made a quick trip to visit a family member battling cancer. I wanted to stay closer since it was a quick trip from Florida. I called and spoke with Seneca on the phone and booked a room after reading the reviews she was very friendly and went over all the discounts they offer. The check in girl was also friendly. We got a king room it was big and clean nothing fancy but just what we needed. The breakfast is very basic but with the cost can afford to eat at the Cracker Barrel or Chick fil a across the road. Avoid the Golden Corral next door. I will stay here again. Great price. also they have a little restaurant that caters to the railroad workers who stay there, we had that late one night and it was good.
One night stay
This is a very nice hotel. Stay here for one night on our way to the North Carolina Zoo in Asheboro. Staff was very nice and helpful. Clean room and nice comfortable bed. Was very pleased with our stay. Would definitely stay here again when traveling through the area.
Not a place to revisit
We had an emergency visit to Lexington, NC. every time we went in or out the front door we had to walk past the desk clerk sitting at the door smoking. Lobby area reeked of stale cigarettes. Hallways and elevator smelled like vinegar. We had to ask for clean blanket and spread and that the carpet be vacuumed. Room had definitely not been cleaned. sheets were clean but rest of covers had something spilled all over. Manager was accommodating to that request. Chair and ottoman were filthy, old and very worn. We wouldn’t even sit on them. The toilet was not bolted to the wall or floor; just attached by the plumbing fixtures and rocked. I would not recommend this hotel at all. .
Convenientn location
Country Hearth Inn was conveniently located right off I-85 so it made it an ideal location at Lexington to go to Charlotte and Asheboro in less than an hour. It is located near a Streak House, Cracker Barrel, and the best pizza place ever.. Christos. Worth the trip.
Southern Hospitality At It’s Finest
We had to evacuate from the South Carolina Coast recently for hurricane Florence with our six cats and thought that Lexington, NC would be a safe place. Country Hearth Inn allows pets so we reserved a room and it fit our needs perfectly. Granted this is not a luxury hotel but it had everything one could hope for from a friendly staff that went out of its way to help us to the comfort of the bed and room. Free breakfast is offered and there is a small food service area that’s open for lunch and dinner serving sandwiches, burgers etc. A big plus for those who have pets are the interior hallways so pets can’t escape outdoors when you open your hotel room door and it seemed half of Coastal Carolinas was at this hotel with their pets. A special thanks to all the staff for being so friendly and helpful.
