Ficamos 2 semanas em Julho e tivemos uma excelente estadia durante todo o perído. Hotel muito agradável, serviço muito bom. Todas as pessoas do hotel são muito simpáticas e solicitas. Comida excelente. Fica a menos de 10 minutos da cidade de Lindos. era nossa lua de mel e o hotel fez uma surpresa arrumando o nosso quarto. Foi tudo perfeito.
Our first impression of the Lindos White Hotel was good. My two friends and I had been upgraded to a family room on arrival and having seen where our original room would have been this proved a good move. Our room was large and clean with a large veranda overlooking the smaller of two pools. The layout of this hotel is very disjointed. The food was very good and varied although could have been hotter. The staff however were not very presentable or attentive. It was hit and miss as to whether the tables were laid or whether we were served or not. At one mealtime we saw a cockroach on one of the food surfaces. Also the decor is in need of serious updating. We were booked as all inclusive which covered a poor selection of drinks and snacks at the two pool bars until 11pm. The drinks were served in coloured plastic mug type cups which were more suited to a child's playgroup. The entertainment was practically non existent over our 10 day stay and as there was nothing else to do (nowhere to walk safely at night, no lighting outside the hotel) we will not be returning to the Lindos White.
3 star because of the staff
Don’t believe what you read in the gumph. This is not a 4 star hotel at all. The staff are on the whole great and try there best to deliver 4 star service. But the standard rooms are awful, dated and need refurbishment. We started in these rooms for one night and paid €400 to upgrade to a suite as couldn’t bear the thought of 10 more nights in the standard cramped room. The suits are much better but not worth the extra are are not clean, in short the suits are what the rooms should be as a min. There is no entertainment apart from two nights, no heated pool, no spa, no extra restaurants, no hot tubs or a anything to give it 4stars. So think on before booking this. Unless you want a 2/3 star hotel in the middle of nowhere with nothing to do on site. Food however is good 😀 Drinks simple. worst all inclusive I’ve ever had
Disappointing place all round
I’m not really sure how to describe this place apart from underwhelming and soulless. I know it’s October but the hotel is almost full but there is literally nothing going on. You wouldn’t know the hotel was almost full apart from meal times. Pros Spacious rooms (we had a junior sea view suite) Easy to park but that might be the time of year Aircon is good Staff are friendly Mini market close to buy proper mixers for your drinks! Cons Awful mixers for drinks so struggling to drink anything. The tonic is disgusting and made my vodka and tonic undrinkable. Had to buy tonic from the supermarket. The Diet Coke was unrecognisable and awful. All drinks served in kids plastic small tumblers. My partner drinks pints but you would have to have 4 of them to get anywhere near a pint. That means sitting around a soulless bar with no atmosphere no music and constant trips to the bar. Sorry but when you are over 10 years old you expect your alcoholic drink in a glass. The beer is drinkable but not great. I’m guessing they do this on purpose so people don’t drink very much The wine is basically vinegar! Perfect with some oil on your salad! There is literally no atmosphere anywhere in this hotel. The bars have no music and nothing going on. The reception area is the same which is a shame as there are nice furnishing. The bar there is a paid bar so no one drinks there. This would be the ideal place to create a better atmosphere with some music and people. The bar looks shut at the moment as there is no one in it. Mealtimes are served in a soulless, glorified canteen type room. Food is ok, average at best. It’s fine but disappointing. If it was a nicer place to eat it would be better and you could get past the average food. The whole area around the hotel is rough land, not a particularly nice beach. The area looks like it’s been started but not finished. The potential is here but it’s like a ghost town with lots of rough grassland areas that are covered in brown, dead grass. You really need a car to get to the amazing main beach in Lindos town. You have to pay €17 a week for a safe with a key. You have to carry this with you. If you lose it they charge €30. Why can’t they supply coded safes like most places do you don’t have to have a key that might get lost as it’s pointless leaving it in the room. My summary is we would never stay here again. We are so disappointed as we have not had a holiday together for two years. The pictures looked so amazing, the rooms, the views, the pools but unfortunately nothing is anywhere near that nice in reality. It’s not that it’s so awful but just so disappointing. It feels like the hotel is trying to be modern but doesn’t quite get there. The area needs something doing to it to get away from a forgotten ghost town feeling. The awful soft drinks and lack of glasses at the bars need sorting ASAP as it could be remedied quickly. Just because it’s October it shouldn’t mean no music l, no proper entertainment when clearly there are enough people around to fill the place. In all fairness we paid £450 for the week all inclusive for two. Even at that price I wouldn’t ever stay again
The perfect place to relax
Our trip unfortunately started out a little rocky. Arriving at 1am we found our room hadn't been made when we got there - a complete human error as these things happen but the night desk manager George (I believe) did everything in his power to help us as he had no other rooms available. We were offered a room at the Tui Sensimar hotel but unfortunately the same thing happened there leaving George with the only option to call the house keeping staff at 4am to come and clean the room. I don't know many people who would get up at that time to come and clean, but they did! Two members of staff turned up to clean our room to make sure we had somewhere to sleep after our long journey - amazing service. Cannot thank them enough. Whilst we were waiting we were offered anything we wanted to eat or drink FOC - gin was very much appreciated at this point so thank you! :) From then on our stay was perfect. The hotel more than made up for this mistake with free wifi, free sunbeds, a free safe, free late checkout which was very handy given our late flight and generous treats in our room each day. The pool areas are so relaxing - very quiet and peaceful with a perfect amount of sunshine. The beach again is lovely and quiet with a variety of water sports and a very cool beach bar if you get bored of the drinks at the hotel - which are actually very good - especially the Surprise and a Lemonade with Pineapple juice! The food was varied and always to a very good standard - especially the pastries at breakfast. The staff in the restaurant were always very friendly and on hand quickly to clean plates away. Overall, I can't really fault this stay despite the mistake. It was everything we needed for our 10 days of relaxing in a quiet, but convenient area of Rhodes. I wish I could remember all the names of the staff that made our stay the best it could be, but thank you to each one of you. :) Would 100% return!
