Welcoming Joyous place to stay!

It is evident at this hotel that the staff love their jobs. Each person: registrar, housekeeping, and kitchen had a ready smile and welcome. Rooms were sparkling clean, amenities like laundry, breakfast, fitness were hygienic and safe to use. On-site parking was well-designed and easy to navigate. If I could give any hotel I've stayed at during my long road trip, a 6th Star, it would be this one in Locust Grove, Georgia. Bonus: Chick-fil-a borders the property for an easy cup of soup, sandwich, salad and they also have smiles on their faces. :-)

Nice, clean hotel

My wife and I stayed at this La Quinta on our way back from our honeymoon. Both of us agreed that it was the best La Quinta we have stayed at. It looks brand new. The check in/out process was painless, and the staff was friendly. Our room was clean and the modern look of everything was appealing to the eye. We had a good stay here!

I stayed for 3 weeks for a work-related event. Although it's a newer hotel, there were several things that need to be addressed. This review is based on my feelings. It might have not bothered other people. If not, so be it. 1. The elevator. Worst service in the world. There's only 4 floors, and the elevator takes about 4 minutes to reach you - every single time. You don't even hear the elevator motor kick in until about 4 minutes after you've pressed the button. With only 4 floors, it shouldn't take more than 30 seconds. Very annoying. 2. Powdered eggs. But, I guess I should be glad they offer breakfast at all. Overall, breakfast wasn't bad. I thought the coffee was great. 3. The plastic water cups are stuck inside each other. I assume during shipping or packing the cups got forced inside each other and sort of melded. You literally can't take them apart without breaking them. Lol. It's not always so easy to drink with 2 or 3 cup rims attached. 4. Standard double rooms. Very basic. No luggage rack or bench to sit your suitcase on. If your luggage is dirty from airport handling, and you don't want to sit a dirty suitcase on the bed to unpack, your only other choice is to sit it up on the desk next to the TV. Ridiculous. 5. Bedside lighting. Abysmal! There are two gooseneck spot lights with nightlight bulbs mounted in the wall next to the beds. There's a floor lamp in one corner behind a useless, large random chair that sits in a tight corner. You can't reach the floor lamp from the bed. There's also the same gooseneck lamp on the desk next to the TV. But that's too far from the bed too. The brightest light is next to the door, so you can see inside the refrigerator. The overall experience wasn't bad, especially since I wasn't paying for it. But, I wouldn't have stayed there 3 weeks if I had to pay on my own. These might sound like minor things; neverless, they're things that should be addressed. The newness makes it nice. It's tolerable if you're not staying too long.

Excellent Stay

This is a newer La Quinta, probably open about a year. We booked online, traveling with our dog. We arrived very late due to leaving FL later than usual. The front desk clerk was very courteous, the room was spotless, the hotel was quiet for a Saturday late night. All in all our stay was excellent and we will stay here on our way home in about a month.

We recently stayed at this location for 2 nights. I had booked one night online and then we realized we needed two nights. We called even before we arrived and the receptionist said it was no problem. Well THERE WAS AND IS A PROBLEM!! They charged us the online reservation, as well as for the two nights! So we were charged for an extra night! When speaking to the Hotel Manager, he told my husband that we were charged one night for a " NO SHOW"!! WE SHOWED! WE WERE THERE! It was THEIR FAULT that they did not charge us correctly! THEY SHOULD KNOW HOW TO CHANGE A RESERVATION FROM 1 NIGHT TO TWO!!! WE trusted they would KNOW WHAT THEY WERE DOING! ON TOP OF THAT, the room was clean, however there is little to no sound proofing! We had to call the front desk twice, because the people above us, were doing who knows what (sounded like they were stomping on the floor) well after midnight! Then we were woken up at 2 AM by some noisy guests in the hallway! WE WILL NEVER STAY AT A LA QUINTA AGAIN AND WILL MAKE SURE WE TELL EVERYONE WE KNOW JUST HOW TERRIBLE WE WERE TREATED BY MANAGEMENT!
