Nestled in the corner of a historic spot, a favourite haunt of literary legends of yore, this is a special place. So close to all the major attractions and 2 major underground stations, yet peaceful and picturesque. We stayed in the 2nd or 3rd floor in a corner room with a lovely spacious aspect. I can't speak highly enough of the responsive team at Urban Chic - we were there during the heatwave and they did all they could to ensure we had a comfortable stay. We hope to stay here again very soon!

Unserious provider - cancelled reservation from the side of provider

Urban Chic – Rathbone declined our family reservation just a week before our trip to London (booked months ago) and their reason was declined transactions with the credit card by the bank. It happened 7 times by using various credit cards, all valid and currently used, with sufficient limits and sources. I checked the reasons of declining at our bank, and they confirmed me, that the only reason was not correct cvc code. I was sure, that we put it to the booking system correctly, so there was no fault on our side and I could not do anything else or better. I tried to communicate this reason (and not fault from our side to accommodation provider). They insisted me, that everything is fine and they would check it again. It did not help and they cancelled the reservation. It was totally unserious. The price for booked apartment was circa 730 eur, after cancellation they immediately offered it for over 2000 eur. A couple of minutes after cancellation I booked another apartment and paid it with one of those „refused“ credit cards without any problem and immediately.
