Oh the noise
Nope. Don't get the room with the bunk bed. You will be kept up all night with the sounds of the restaurant that is right above you. Staff didn't seem to care and knew it was an issue. We will not stay here again.
Alternate names for this Hotel: Hillbilly Hideaway, Redneck Sheik, One Star Wonder!!
Seriously. $715 for two nights is OUTRAGEOUS! This hotel is really a motel designed with pallet furniture in 275 feet of Walmart hell. The beach front view is across the parking lot to the hotel and beach parking lot, approximately half a mile. The bed is a futon with the worst mattress possible, the end tables are crates and the exposed wiring reminds me of something out of an eight year old's tree house instead of a hotel. Thankfully, they thought of everything when they left ear plugs on the nightstand crates because the walls are so thin, you would never sleep without them. The onsite game room looks like a homeless camp. The restaurant was the only thing decent about this place and I luckily got my pizza order three hours after ordering it three times. This was an anniversary weekend we had planned and a friend told us the hotel was nice but had not stayed there. I should have done my due diligence so shame on me. I just want everyone to see what we saw and ask the state of Washington how the wiring in this place is up to code? The mini fridge was not plugged in and I found out why...it had a high pitched whistle that rang from the minute we plugged it in the the overloaded, exposed, five port plug. We had booked for two nights and couldn't get our money back for the second night so we stayed. The hotel cleaning staff cleaned our room but forgot to take out the empty pizza box and left garbage under the sink after pulling up the thread bare comforter on our college futon looking lumpy miserable mattress. But I guess I shouldn't complain since there was free lemon water and Folger's coffee in the lobby. As I sat in the lobby and contemplated my review, the hotel staff discussed patron's names and room numbers as they complained that they kept asking for things and didn't give them a tip as well as how dirty they were. Heads up people, someone should call the hotel police hotline for this imposter.
If only the rooms were as perfect as their customer service
First I want to say that everyone we dealt with was an absolute pleasure. Some of the best customer service I've experienced. Also, and importantly, the room was clean and the bed was really comfortable. We had one of the four oceanfront rooms. Now the bad, which is basically all related to room design. The rustic-industrial look they were clearly going for is a miss. Lots of exposed wires, for example the TV setup looked a mess. The raw wood trim looked really poorly done. The laminate floors look nice, but they don't absorb sound so you hear everything in the hallways and surrounding rooms. And the worst part was the lighting. The lights in the bathroom areas were just raw light fixtures that weren't meant to be exposed, set into poorly cut holes in the wall. Industrial style lighting was installed above each nightstand, and even if you think they look "cool" theres a reason lamps have shades! It was incredibly unpleasant to have the only lights be bright, uncovered bulbs right by the bed! Definitely not cozy! I wish I had taken photos, but some of the other customer photos on here show these same issues.
A let down
We have stayed at the Adrift in the past and have had pleasant experiences, but the latest was poor. We late booked the one night trip, $264 plus tax came out to over $300 for one night. We've been there before, good experience, COVID and late booking, so no big deal on the price. Get to our room (bunk room) with bunks in one room and king bed in the other. Kids obviously in the bunk rook, great view. The king bed room, the window seal was compromised and moisture in-between the glass blocking the view of the ocean. Also we brought the dog with us and left him in the room to go to dinner. We wanted to eat at The Pickled Fish, but could not get a table in a timely fashion so we went to another place in town. We ordered dinner and before we could get served, we got a call from the front desk that our dog was being loud. We had the restaurant box up our dinner ($150) and took it back the room but when we got there, our dog was clam and asleep. Only reason why I question this is because I got another call from the front desk later that evening telling me they had our cot ready. We didn't need a cot or request one! So did the desk even have our number right the first time and ruin our dinner for no reason? Also the cable/SAT TV did not work. Because they have smart TV's we tried to stream our services to their TV's, but the WIFI was so slow, we couldn't even stream with their WIFI! I had to use my cell phone hot spot to stream to their TV's to watch. I'm okay with spending money to have a good time and enjoy our family time, but the price should match the experience, this one did not. Will not stay again and would not recommend to family and friends.
Nice amenities but super noisy.
Took a solo mom trip to the beach hoping for some rest and relaxation. While the spa was nice, the rooms were incredibly noisy. I stayed in the East building and was kept up at night from the noises from the parking lot, the room above me and the noise from outside. I think the staff is aware as my bedside had ear plugs waiting for me on arrival but it was surprising just how loud it was. Even with white noise from my phone, I could hear conversations clearly at all hours of the day/night. I had wanted to use the pool as well, but it was always occupied, which was a bummer but not the hotel's fault. The food at the Pickled Fish was also incredibly expensive for what it was. Overall I was disappointed with what I got for the price I paid. Not sure I'd go back given the chance.
