the worst experience at a hotel of my life

the owner is a criminal. the office is not 24/7. the place is disgusting. worst hotel experience of my life. this place should be shut down - unsafe, unclean, awful staff, even worse owners. they will charge you extra and when you show up you might end up needing to sleep in your car. staff is not on site, management is extremely difficult to get a hold of, the parking lot is scary and un secure, the grounds are dirty. this place is awful

Good Choice in Harbor City

A clean motel in Harbor City. The room is basic but that is all I needed for the night as the room, sheets and towels were clean. The front desk person was super friendly. Yes, it can be a bit noisy for the rooms by the main street but nothing I could not handle as this is the city. Just ask for a room near the back if you do not like street noise. There were several fast food and regular restaurants nearby. A fantastic donut shop right down the block from the motel. Major shopping center 1.8 miles from the motel. The area was a little bit sketchy, but I did not feel unsafe. I would stay here again as this motel looked better than many motels in the area.

Horrible stay experience

This place is horrible, even if you do not expect anything good. Before our stay, they called me and said 3 pm was not available and I should come at 4 pm. We agreed and came at 4:30 pm. The room was still not ready. We had to wait another half an hour to get our room. What we booked was a one-bed room but got a two-bed room without any notice. And at night, we found the toilet was clogged. They do not have any maintenance and ask us to solve it ourselves. As a hotel/motel, it should deliver its minimum responsibility. They failed to do that and had never apologized.

This hotel was very comfortable & clean. Right from the beginning we got greeted & treated well which is something that makes your experience 10 times better! I would recommend anyone to stay here, it’s great.

Bare bones, horrible bed!

The only reason I'm giving the Harbor City Travelodge one star instead of zero is because the room was clean, and there were a few amenities (microwave, fridge, iron and ironing board, and adequate towels and soap). It was definitely not attractive: no bedside lamps and only harsh overhead lighting, one picture on the wall with gang graffiti scrawled on it, no breakfast included, and no coffee in the room. But the worst thing is that the mattress was horrible! It was thin, lumpy, hard, and uneven, and I tossed and turned all night and never could get comfortable. My only reason for staying there is that I was too tired to make the long trip home, so paying $158 for a room where I was unable to sleep was a total waste of money. I definitely do not recommend this motel!
