Clean, feels very new, would recommend

Avaliou em 18 de dezembro de 2022

Wonderfully clean, still has that ‘new- new’ feel. We stayed for one night with 2 littles and had a fantastic stay with 2 visits to the pool (which we had to ourselves!). I have to say, one of the best indoor hotel pools I’ve been to. Breakfast was a normal, free, Hampton Inn breakfast. Beds were ok, nothing too special, but we rested well. Room was spacious, again, very clean, plenty of towels, I also liked their provided toiletries. Would stay here again in a heartbeat if I need to return to the area.

Bad staff help and horrible breakfast

Avaliou em 6 de setembro de 2022

Moldy biscuits, juice machine not working, bad attitudes from kitchen staff for multiple guests. Didn’t get breakfast 2 of 3 days stayed as things were never restocked at least 35 minutes prior to breakfast ending.

Visiting city

Major issues with smoke alarm going off finally they got around to taking care of after we asked to be moved to a different room. Both rooms in need of major housekeeping attention. Needs to be cleaned thoroughly and new bed linens and bath towels.

Fine Hotel, Terrible Breakfast

Avaliou em 15 de abril de 2022

This has a unique setup as while I’ve seen hotels from the same chain close to each other, but this is just one large building with Hampton on one side, and Home2Suites on the other side. My daughter really wanted to go to the pool, and it was the standard indoor size (unfortunately no whirlpool). It was weird as there was a sign saying if there are more than 5 people in the pool, you could get fined $125 or so. If that is true, they could have made a ton of extra money as there were already at least 15 people in there, so we couldn’t do much and went the next day when it opened up and then we had the pool to ourselves. The fitness room itself was very nice and had multiple machines and was above average from a typical hotel. Our room was also fine. However, the breakfast was a mess. The design was lousy, as outside of one very long table in the middle, the rest of the tables was setup only for two people each. I guess that works for business travelers, but it doesn’t work for families. Even though they had two people helping, they still couldn’t keep things in stock. The person in front of me opened the oatmeal container and said ‘nope!’ and closed it. I looked at it and it looked terrible. One thing I enjoy they usually have been mini omelets but it was just scraps. I saw them taking out a new tray a few minutes later, so I went and got some. I took a bite and it was cold! How is that possible unless it was made the day before and they just yanked out of the refrigerator? There was no microwave there (not sure why) either. Last but not least, the garbage cans were overflowing so that was a bad look. And even when we left and went outside, the garbage can there was overflowing as well.

Great Location

Avaliou em 10 de abril de 2022

My first stay at this Louisville location. Another reviewer complained of the spotty cable the night of April 6 but it had rained all day and it was cloudy and dreary. Cable was ok the next time I turned tv on which was April 8. This was not Hampton Inn’s fault as these weather conditions can affect tv cable. My room was on the street side and there is vehicle noise (as other reviews have noted) but it was not a problem for me during the night. I did hear it during day and early evening. Two issues with the room design are the bedside light switch is at my eye level so had to get out of bed to turn light off or on. Second, the microwave is on the bottom shelf under the tv about 3-4 inches off the floor. I stayed multiple days at this location and used the microwave several times. The first time I got on my knees to see the keypad. The second time I got smarter and took a picture of the keypad so I could then refer to the picture to determine which areas to push. One issue with hotel design is the game room off the lobby, in an open to lobby design, not an enclosed separate room. I was on the first floor and could hear lots of noise in my room until late at night. It was spring break and there were several younger children and teens in the hotel. I mentioned this at checkout and Heidi said the game room should be off limits after 10 pm. She also said there is a door that can be closed at the hallway leading to the guest rooms. This location is convenient for my purpose and these issues won’t prevent me from staying there again but I share them for others information in deciding where to stay.
