Perfect home base to visit the Basilica

We stayed for two nights in the Aspin room at Villa L’Orante for our visit to the Basilica. The room has an amazing view of the Basilica, the town, and the near-by mountains. Our room’s private bath, believe it or not, was a converted chapel, complete with stained glass window. Very comfy, a good breakfast, and super helpful owners. The B&B is a short walk from the Basilica. This is a great option for couples or for a small group on a pilgrimage to the Basilica. We highly recommend it.
Elegant and Charming

Hard to find location driving through circuitous streets (for us), but once found this is a lovely inn and the owners offer warmth and hospitality. You are very close to the sacred site (which we wanted) and the rooms are filled with beautiful antiques. Our suite had a small terrace with views of Sanctuaire Notre Dame and the fortified Castle. We fell asleep from jet lag and missed the opportunity to view the procession from there. Bathroom is spacious (we had a separate room with a toilet in the room)and has a beautiful stained glass window over the tub. Shower is large and modern. Do bring your own toiletries! Breakfast was delicious (croissants, breads, spreads, hard-boiled eggs, prosciutto, cheese, yogurt, assorted nuts, compote and delicious coffee) and served in a spacious elegant room. Highly recommended!

My Dad passed away in June this year. He was supposed to come to Lourdes with Mam and Myself. So Mam, my two Sisters and myself went on a pilgrimage to try and find some peace. Lourdes didn't disappoint.
Cecile runs the beautiful villa with her Husband. The whole place is so beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Cecile puts on a wonderful spread for breakfast, I wish I'd taken a photo. Mostly, home cooked which was so tasty. The delph on the table is beautiful, the furniture is beautiful.
We stayed on the top floor in Neoveille, I hope I've spelt it correctly. The room was so spacious with a balcony overlooking the river. To the right we could see the Sanctuary and to the left the Castle.
We love to drink tea, amongst other things, wine also!! Cecile knew this and very kindly left a bottle of milk in the fridge in the kitchen for us to use. The room had a small travel kettle and a selection of teas and coffee.
She also let us borrow a bottle opener, so we could open the wine we had purchased. The rooms are supplied with plenty of soft, clean towels, bathrobes and shampoo in the walk in shower. Thd bed linen was snow white, pressed and smelled so fresh.
All in all a beautiful place to stay. I would highly recommend to anyone. Cecile is a wonderful hostess.
Hope to return some day.
