A Unique and Enjoyable Experience

We booked a room (one of three available) at Thyme For Bed B&B because the structure looked so interesting! In all our travels, we had never experienced life in a concrete dome structure...now we have. And it was an altogether refreshing and pleasant weekend stay. Bill & Crystal Britzman, the owners of Thyme For Bed, made us feel truly welcome at their unique B&B in a peaceful rural area of Lowell, Indiana. The somewhat stark concrete and stone exterior is nicely flattered and softened with plantings. The interior is just charming. We loved the purple chandelier in the living room area. Our room, though windowless, was a spacious King en suite with a spa and a stone-walled shower “cave”. A very delightful place to unwind. Our host and hostess provided so many little amenities: baskets of cookies and treats, a Keurig coffee maker, all the toiletries needed, refrigerator, microwave..and interesting conversation. The breakfasts were simply excellent. We are not often served homemade organic yogurt with berries! Add homemade scones, and the main dish of the day, and you have a memorable meal. Bill makes amazing coffee, also. Put Thyme For Bed on your list if you are traveling through. You will not be disappointed!
I loved my time at the dome

My husband and I and our son and his wife stayed here in June 2019 and had a wonderful time. The rooms were clean and comfortable, and the food was delicious, especially the scones! One member of our group has a gluten allergy and Crystal went out of her way to accommodate her special dietary needs. We will definitely stay here again when traveling to the area.
Nice relaxing stay

We really enjoyed talking with the owners. They are there to make your stay enjoyable. The room we stayed in had the most comfortable bed I've ever slept on. The room also had a jacuzzi and rain shower. Sooo relaxing. The breakfast was simply delicious!!! Definitely recommend staying here!
Great stay at a unique place!

This was our second time at this amazing monolithic dome! The new owners Crystal and Bill are very gracious hosts, and extremely welcoming. They will answer any and all questions you may have about the dome and just make you feel right at home. We stayed in the “in your dreams” room which includes a King size bed with a moving base, a fireplace, hot tub and a very unique fully tiled corner shower with rainfall fixture. Snacks and drinks are provided and the breakfast served the next morning was amazing! If your looking for a nice relaxing getaway this is the place to go!!

We spent New Year’s Eve at Thyme for Bed. Our stay was in the Pheasant Room. The accommodations were wonderful! The bed was very comfortable and the room was warm and inviting! Billy and Crystal were wonderful host and hostess. The scones for breakfast were to die for, especially the orange scones! The table was set beautifully! We will definitely be returning again!
