Horrible! “Sorry” manager and terrible quality control

Avaliou em 28 de janeiro de 2023

This place seems to be under a renovation. They don’t mention that on the site before booking. No signage at all to the hotel. Booked a King Suite with a kitchen. Kitchen had no supplier. No dishes, cups, silver, pots. Nothing. Managers response? Sorry. 5 light bulbs missing in the room. Managers response? Sorry Breakfast was chaotic. Asked for a lid for coffee. It didn’t fit the cups. We are our sorry! Left for a meeting and told the front desk I’d be back at 10:30 to clean up abs check out at 11. Got back at 10:30, they were in my room. Sorry!! Elevator didn’t work. Sorry! This place needs an overhaul. The staff too!

It’s Now a Best Western :(

Avaliou em 3 de janeiro de 2023

It’s so sad that this once family owned property has sold to Best Western. I’ve stayed in this hotel since the 1990’s. The cozy feel of the lobby/breakfast area is gone - now a cold sterile environment. And DO NOT take your pets. Even though their web site said pet friendly (has now been updated) they refused to honor my reservation made 3 weeks in advance for New Year’s Eve. What was I supposed to do? Leave my babies in the car?!!!! And then had the nerve to say, ‘have a good day’! Really? The manager is totally unprofessional, dressed in a tank top (on Dec 31st) with tattoos galore. I lucked into an available room at the Homewood Suites that allowed pets. I will never stay here again.

First to Worst

This hotel hotel moved locations and became a terrible place to stay. My wife and I used to stay here when we visited Lubbock. We made reservations thinking we were staying in the same spot but come to find out they moved to an older building. The staff was not friendly when we arrived and they smelled like cigarettes. The whole hotel smelled. The room was ok but, again, older. The shower was terrible, no pressure. I won’t stay here again.

Not for me...

I have stayed at this hotel periodically in the last 10 years. At my most recent stay I noted that the property is no longer up to par. The room I stayed in had a security lock that had been broken in two and was hanging by one screw. I chose to place a bench under the door handle for security. This was the second room I was given. The first had a window that wouldn't close and the room was freezing. The clerk at the desk was very nice. But, the property no longer feels safe. Sadly, it was dirty and generally down on it's heels.

Deceiving reviews

Avaliou em 18 de outubro de 2022

We booked what we thought was a location on 62nd Street... it is no longer the Arbor Inn, but has been purchased by La Quinta... we were sent to another location down the street. This Arbor Inn location was nothing like the reviews stated. The rooms are dated, the furniture is old, the walls and carpet were nasty and the bathroom still had hair on the floor from a previous guest as well as dirt under the counter. We had booked the room for 2 nights, but there was no way I could stay there the second night. If there is a plus to this place, it would be the pool area. It was very nice - but closed. We moved to the Hampton Inn at 2828 Marsha Sharp Hwy and it was amazing. Would highly recommend the Hampton Inn for $15.00 more per night.
