I understand the time we are in at the moment but to not have coffee. I’m talking just regular black coffee. They have Starbucks that they are willing to sell. The rooms were nice and clean and service was friendly but when your expecting something and they don’t have it it’s very disappointing.
Halfway through stay
I might not remember later so this is our experience up to now. Check-in was effortless & the young man who greeted us was so pleasant sounding I could tell he was probably smiling behind the mask. We inquired about nearby restaurants & he made an effort to offer selections that have open dining or curbside pickup. We hurriedly forgot to pack a brush or comb and asked if there was an amenities machine we could buy one from. He dug under the desk and produced a comb in the wrapper. We didn't take him up on it and instead he pointed us to Walmart right down the street & we got what we needed. He could have just said he had nothing, but he didn't. The room is clean and modern with plenty of outlets. We expect to wake up tomorrow and have a marvelous breakfast and a similarly smooth noon check-out.
Very pleased with our choice when we had to travel during the pandemic. The hotel appears to be pretty new. VERY clean, staff practicing social distancing, masks etc. Our room was very large, very comfortable beds. Would stay there again for sure.
This time was a disappointment.
We have stayed at this hotel many times while visiting my daughter at Texas Tech. However, this time was a huge disappointment on many levels. We are in the middle of a pandemic so I am fully aware accommodations must be made however there is no reason for the things that caused our disappointment. Front desk was rude and we felt like we were an annoyance. There was no toilet paper in our room, once we requested it, the front desk told us they did not have access to the supply cabinet. Also, the beds were extremely uncomfortable. I have not noticed this on our previous visits so I’m not sure if it was the specific room. Understandably, there is no housekeeping at this time. It is a safety issue, I understand. However I do feel the prices should reflect us.
Great place, close to campus
Always welcomed by friendly staff and checked on throughout stay. My favorite place to stay when visiting my daughter at Tech. Nice to have the option of free breakfast, though I do wish they would stop using powdered eggs. ;-)
