Nasty nasty nasty

If you are brave and love adventure this is the place for you. It is probably the nastiest hotel in Georgia. For starters there were no towels or toilet paper in the room. Every single wall had holes in it. And the shower head was literally tied up with a rope. Had there been a room anywhere else we would have moved. Even worse we were on motorcycles so we couldn’t sleep in a car.

Worst hotel I have ever stayed at

Not exactly where the pictures in this listing were taken, but I do know they aren’t from this hotel. It’s also funny how every time some leaves a one star review, someone else (an employee, owners, or friends) leave a five star review. The only thing this hotel gets five stars in is the relief you feel when checking out. I have stayed in hotels all around the world and the US and never have I ever stayed at such a miserable excuse for a hotel. The towels were stained and smelly, the mattress was stained, the floor was stained and sticky, the bathroom vanity was pulling away from the wall and falling apart, there was no smoke detector (code violation), there was no telephone, the front desk clerk partied outside our door with others until the early morning hours, the place reeked of weed and stale alcohol, prostitution was definitely going on, as well as drug deals (was propositioned and saw drug paraphernalia in the hotel and in the parking lot), the list goes on and on and on. Stay somewhere else. At least Tom Bodett leaves the light on for you. I will personally guarantee that anyone who leaves a five star review is an absolute plant and a liar.

The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!

I think everyone should experience this establishment once in their life, let me tell you why, strap in. I have stayed at upwards of 1,000 hotels in my life, and this will probably remain the most memorable stay of them all. When you look back at your abysmal life do you think you will remember the slightly above average Holiday Inn Express you stayed at that one time? No. You will not. But you will remember that time you stayed at at that Red Roof Inn in Madison, GA. You will be greeted by a crisp, soggy waft of stale weed smoke, and hot garbage. Also, a front desk clerk who probably found this job in the classifieds yesterday and could not care less about your existence. After waiting 30 minutes to check-in, you will hear no less than 3 couples (who also work in the hotel) loudly and awkwardly arguing in the lobby. Then you will be whisked away to your suite where you will find mysterious powder all over the ground, no soap, shampoo, or conditioner, and one stained sheet on the bed. Don’t worry though, the hot, soggy stench will follow your cheap @ss there (should’ve bit the bullet and stayed at the Hampton next door). Someone has taken multiple bites out of my wallpaper. Why? Why would someone eat the wallpaper? The saving grace of this gem is that every second that ticks down is one second closer that you can finally leave the hallowed grounds. Like I said, the most memorable stay I’ve ever experienced. This entire hotel should be condemned and turned into a Ripley’s-Believe-It-Or-Not Museum. I can’t believe I’ve wasted 1200 words on this absolute h3ll hole of a hotel. #Thnks fr th Mmrs Red Roof ✌🏼love you, mean it.

Thank you Michelle!

Michelle Harrison was so helpful and friendly! She helped me get the best rate and personally made sure the room was in great shape before me and my daughter came in and brought our things in just for an extra step of customer service!!

Nastiest hotel I have ever seen.

I wish I could give zero circles. I don’t even know where to begin. First off, When we got there, no one was at the front desk for over ten minutes as we called, knocked, etc. Finally, Freddy appeared. He was friendly, but seemed to not know how to run the check in process on the computer, even though he has apparently been working there for awhile. It took more than half an hour to check in, even though we had reservations. The lobby was nice enough, but the overall smell of marijuana and crack was a bad sign. But our reservation was non-refundable. There was loud music from some room down the hall from us. Prostitutes were entertaining “guests”, and I am pretty sure I witnessed a drug deal going down in the parking lot. On Friday night, there was a literal beer party in the hall right outside our door. I would have called the front desk to complain, but when I looked out the peep hole into the hallway, the front desk guy was one of the partiers. They were drunk as skunks and loud until after 1:00. There was no phone in the room. I saw no smoke alarm. The refrigerator did not work. The floor had a sticky white substance in various places that I suspect had a great deal of DNA in it. The floor was sticky. I had to go buy slippers because I did not want to go barefoot, nor did I want to ruin my socks. There were nasty stains on the chair and ottoman. There was a big rust stain beneath the toilet and the seat was cracked and pinched my butt every time I had to sit on it. The bathroom floor was dirty, and the tub caulking was mildewed. The shower stall wall was cracked. The counter in the bathroom was falling apart. There were no tissues, just an empty box. The bathtub drained slowly, so water accumulated in the tub when I showered. The towels were so badly stained that I just basically let myself drip dry after a shower. The toilet would keep running after each flush, so we had to keep removing the tank cover to stop it each time. The AC blew alright, but only cooled sporadically, and was very loud. After our “Do Not Disturb” tag was taken off our door, and we had to get another one, we started taking our medications and all electronic charging cables and CDs with us whenever we left our room. Neither the parking lot nor the room felt safe. The mattress was stained very badly on the sides where we could see (it looked like blood), and we were afraid to look under the mattress cover. I spilled a couple of drops of water on the floor, and when I blotted it up with some TP, it came back brown. I smiled at the cleaning lady and said, “Good morning!”, and she just stared at me like I wax from outer space. I was, however, amazed to see no bedbugs nor roaches. My guess is that the stench of cigarettes, marijuana, mildew, and crack smoke kept them at bay. We were supposed to get an email when we checked out, confirming that we checked out and should get our $50 deposit back. Not sure what the deposit was for, since there is nothing we could have done to mess up the room any worse than it was when we got there. But I still haven’t gotten the email nor the deposit back. I tried to call them, but no one is answering the phone.
