Beautiful place with all night bright lights !

Avaliou em 11 de junho de 2019

Lovely hotel until night when very bright balcony lights go on for entire night! When I asked about it I was told to close my blind not what I like to do with an ocean front hotel. We will NOT return. Why pay for a view and the close your blinds????

Small, beautiful, beachfront hotel

Avaliou em 8 de fevereiro de 2019

This is the perfect hotel for us. Small - only six rooms right on the beach, right where the action is with lots of beach restaurants, massage and bars, yet still quiet at night. The restaurant is right by the pool overlooking the ocean and serves great food at very reasonable prices. The staff was incredible. Big shout out to Lara as she went out of her way to provide excellent service. Also Aaron was a big help with questions and room set-up. As others mentioned, there are time share sales going on in the lobby downstairs, but it never bothered us, and was only in the morning. If you're looking for a small boutique hotel with a great restaurant right on the beach, this is the place!

Beware - this small quaint hotel is overrun with non-hotel guests

I booked this hotel purposely because it was a 6- room hotel and I was traveling with my 80 yr old mother. We wanted a quiet trip to spend quality time together. The facilities were great - super clean. The rooms were great with many interesting features. The food was mediocre but that was fine. We stayed for a week. This place is on a great beach for walking - flat, long and hard-packed sand. Not a great beach for swimming or snorkeling because of the significant wave-action and undertow but that was ok (not great for my mom). Next to the hotel is a decimated building - looks like it was bombed in some war. When we were on deck our view to one side was this wreck of a building. The majority of the buildings on this beach look like this Falling down, abandoned. THE BIG PROBLEM was that the hotel is overrun constantly with non-hotel guests using the small infinity pool and restaurant. Very large families with multiple small children - loosely supervised - inundated the pool daily. These people were being coaxed into purchasing memberships with INNtegra - who operated daily in the lobby. These memberships once purchased are being used by locals - so after work everyone comes to the hotel to swim and use the facilities. If we wanted a crowded resort or a public pool we would have booked the YMCA or a large resort. At the very least, this hotel should have not represented themselves as a small, quaint 6 room hotel. The people are great - we got awesome service from everyone - Cruz, Jamie, Laura, Lupita, Irvin etc - but this side-business should have been disclosed.

Amazing!

We were invited to stay here for 3 nights and we had an incredible experience! The staff go out of their way to accommodate your needs and the food is amazing! This is a personal and small resort where your room is very close to the beach. It’s not necessary to walk miles if you forget something. The rooms are large, very clean, coffee pots, jacuzzi tub, large walk-in shower, comfy king size beds over looking the ocean, room service and the beach is great for walking, clear water and amazing surf! Wonderful massages also available right on the beach! We absolutely loved it here and given the chance will be returning!! Thank you!!

Be aware of outside visitors

Warning, the Mar Celeste Hotel does not disclose that the property is the operations hub for Club Inntegra which is a tour operator offering memberships or time shares. We booked 5 of the 6 rooms in the Mar Celeste Hotel for a family holiday vacation. We expected to find a beautiful quiet small hotel in Manzanillo on the beach. It is a beautiful and well-located hotel BUT not quiet or peaceful. The small lobby has twelve tables and starting at 9 am through 2 pm every table was full with tour operators trying to sell club memberships, sometimes the crowd overflowed right next to us at the pool. (There was loud cheering and clapping when a membership was sold) For most of the day there was a minimum of 60 people talking and touring the hotel, beach and restaurant. The tour company also provided a small child care area between the lobby and the restrooms. Potential clients were provided breakfast or lunch in the small hotel restaurant. FURTHERMORE, anyone on the beach who ordered food from the hotel restaurant felt entitled to also use the small pool. Often in the afternoon, there were 20 people including unsupervised very young children in the pool. For 23 years, we have traveled to Mexico between Christmas and New Year’s Day. We have been to Ixtapa, Zihuatanejo, Huatulco, Cancun and Puerto Vallarta. We expect crowds on the beach and the hotels to be at full capacity. What we did not expect was the use of the hotel by many people not staying at the hotel. We were never informed that the hotel, restaurant and pool would be used for business purposes by Club Inntegra. We were not told that the pool would be used by beach visitors. We were very frustrated with the loud noise and constant flow of people. The hotel itself is great. The rooms are comfortable- all with ocean views. The Mar Celeste staff was wonderful. They did everything they could to accommodate us. We greatly appreciated the attention from the chef and servers. The front desk staff was responsive and sympathetic but could do nothing about the crowds. The housekeeping team kept the hotel spotless. Mar Celeste owners need to stop allowing Club Inntegra to use their lobby for selling club memberships. ALTHOUGH LOW SEASON CROWDS MAY BE LESS INVASIVE, WE RECOMMEND THAT PRIOR TO MAKING RESERVATIONS, YOU CONFIRM THAT THERE WILL BE NO ON-GOING CLUB INTEGRA SALES PROGRAMS DURING YOUR STAY.
