This hotel is really old feeling and needs an extensive refit. The rooms were dated, and tired lookin, with several doors not working properly. The balcony area had a decent enough view but the railings were not secure and the area needed updating. Crap TV channels too. Most were in Greek but many of the guests were international. I can't believe that a chain can't provide a decent range of channels for international guests. The pool area was ok but needed a revamp. Outside you could access the sea but my god it was treacherous. Huge chunks of the walkway had fallen off and no steps down into the sea. The biggest issue was the food. We went half board and the Dinner was awful. The atmosphere was like being in a canteen. No attempt at ambience and the waiting staff were bored looking. The food was ok but pretty poor. Hot food was not hot and a great deal of it was inedible. Breakfast was meant to be 'american' there was no hint of anything American about it. So my kids who had been expecting pancakes were far from happy. Really disappointed as this was our last night in Greece and we'd hoped to for a nice experience but instead I just felt short changed. The only positive was the super friendly and helpful young receptionist who greeted us during check in.

Although a difficult check in at reception (assumed I didn't want a double as two males arrived) this was quickly rectified. The room was spacious, clean and had great views of the sea... Venia on reception was so helpful, great asset to the hotel, found us places to socialise, eat and drink, friendly smile and excellent manners. Should be head of greetings and train the others. All round a great stay.

The hotel is right by the Aegean Sea. The hotel is situated in a very quite neighborhood and gives you feel of being in the countryside, as opposed to a city feel. The team of staff was very accommodating with everything I needed during my stay. They will take care of your transportation needs to wherever you want to go around Athens. They also recommended some very good restaurants nearby.

Nice, quiet resort that could use some improvements

We stayed at this resort for a week and had a car rental so we could explore as much of the countryside and Athens as we could. There are several good restaurants in the vicinity of the resort that are within walking distance. There is also a mini-mart a very short walk away to get essentials. Otherwise, I highly recommend having a car rental to go to Rafina or Marathon beach area for food, unless you want to eat the resort buffet. I cannot speak to the resort's food as we only had beverages at the bar. The service at the bar was very good. Breakfast was 20euros and did not seem worth the money. Service was excellent here!! Staff were all very friendly and welcoming. We got massages at the spa and the service there was amazing. The indoor spa pool was nice and relaxing. Pros: -Staff are extremely nice and welcoming! They made sure we had a good stay. -Quiet. Patio doors are good at soundproofing outside noises. -Balcony faced the ocean Cons: -Beds are rock hard. Possibly one of the hardest beds I've ever slept on in a European hotel. -Water temperature in the shower fluctuated anytime someone near your room flushed a toilet or turned on water (water temperature changed about every 30 seconds). This made the showering experience very unpleasant. -Outdoor pool was not heated at all. It was icy cold when it was 72 degrees outside. -Fitness center had several broken pieces of equipment -Halfway through our stay, the air conditioning stopped blowing cool air and started blowing out warm air instead Overall, we had a good stay at this resort but it could definitely use some improvements (shower water temperature regulation, better beds). Otherwise, for the price we paid it was a good deal for a week-long stay!

There were things we really liked; there were things we wished had been different. For example, I know this is, in part, me being spoiled by hotels in the U.S., but I would've preferred there to have been an option to do laundry. I don't need a laundry service, but you only have so many things you can bring on vacation, and I had to make sure I had clothes for every day. We also had little control over the temperature of the room, so we had trouble sleeping. It was very warm, even if we left the balcony door open. But the place was clean, and the staff was phenomenal. (We did have one person walk in on us one morning without knocking, which was awkward.)
