I was very pleased with my stay. The beds were comfortable, I slept like a baby. I like how there is a sitting room with a TV closest to the main door, therefore, I don’t hear the hallway noise. My only issue was the person in charge of breakfast. She was not friendly at all.

A Few Issues

We stayed at this hotel one night while visiting family in Mattoon. The front desk personnel were very friendly and our room was very clean. I reserved a handicap accessible room however the room we were assigned was not totally handicap accessible. There were grab bars beside the toilet, however there was a bathtub with grab bars, not a roll-in shower. The tub was too high for me to step into so I was not able to take a shower. Also the bathroom only had a sink and lacked any counter space to set personal items on. I realize a person in a wheel chair would need to roll up to the sink, however it would be nice to have a counter of some kind beside the sink, not just a tray on the wall. We also had considerable difficulty with the TV remote. It was hard to change channels and adjust the volume. The bed was ok - just could have been a little firmer. In addition, the walls were very thin - we could hear the TV and voices next to us. The breakfast was the standard breakfast fare. The scrambled eggs were kind of chunky however everything else was satisfactory. Our great granddaughter was extremely disappointed the pool was closed. We would stay in this hotel again, however in the future I will be more specific on my handicap accessible needs.

The staff was very friendly & accommodating. Hotel rooms were not very updated but for the price it was a nice stay. Rooms were clean. The bed was comfortable. The only issue was my TV had some bad signals.

We traveled for a baseball tournament. We were saddened that they said the pool was closed for maintenance when we arrived! You have to walk through pool area to get to gym. They said it was closed too due to maintenance. When we walked past there was no maintenance going on, water in pool just lights off and door locked. So I’m not sure exactly what kind of maintenance would shut down the pool and the gym. The rooms were nice, so definitely a place to stay. Just with kids I wish we would had a warning of the pool closure prior to staying!

We were not on the top floor, so we could hear every step the person in the room above made. And they paced back and forth a lot! Also, there were not enough cups in the room and it was basically a mediocre room.
