The house was beautiful and the host was accommodating- we did a slightly earlier check in. We loved the historical pieces around the common area. The room was clean and spacious. We would definitely come back for a longer visit.

I was impressed with the beautiful Frederickson room. It is absolutely clean and have Snow White fluffy towels. Bed is comfortable. Having a fridge isn the room is convenience. We had a huge common area to use with a beautiful view. We had breakfast in the downtown. Food was good. We will definitely be back!

Hidden Gem of Meadville PA

I am taking my son to do a campus visit at Allegheny College. It’s a 2 hour drive from Pittsburgh so rather than have to set out from home early in the morning I decided we would drive up the day before and stay overnight to give him an opportunity to preview the area and the campus. This place makes me want to vacation in Meadville! From the welcome phone call and information text ahead of time down to the small details in the cozy room and the beautiful house itself, innkeeper Sherry Vardaro has covered everything. Due to Covid restrictions she has even made arrangements with some delightful local places to provide complimentary breakfast. I especially enjoy the coffee available in the cozy parlor downstairs that I can enjoy curled up on a couch while the teenager sleeps on! There is even a swimming pool and a park-like yard to enjoy in warmer months. Skip the Holiday Inn. Stay here! And enjoy the local eateries. Especially McClure’s Fish House.

We were so pleased with the Carriage House! Inside common areas and outdoor gardens were spacious and well done. Claire Room was amazing! Special touches: generous coffee service, water bottles and extension cords for devices on the nightstands, nightlight and plenty of towels in the bathroom. We enjoyed playing cards with family in common area, while still socially distancing from other guests. We enjoyed morning coffee on the big porch. Complimentary breakfast at the Pampered Palate was awesome. Sherry communicated everything clearly and thoroughly. Mayor Lord’s B and B is a very well managed establishment. Other nice things we enjoyed in Meadville were the Ernst Trail and Kettle Lake Kitchen at the Meadville Market House.

Charming place, immaculately clean, and a very attentive owner. I left my sponge bag in my room, and the owner found me to return it! I was in the carriage house, which would make a wonderful venue for a group travelling together. It is conveniently located, but quiet in the rear of the property, where I was.
